Take the cover off of that thing at 5:50 (it's either a door bell or a smoke detector), you will see two or three sets of wires held together by wire nuts. One will be Black (Hot), one will be White (Ground) and you may have a third Green wire, which is a ground wire. They are held together by plastic wire nuts. You do not need to turn off the electric, as long as you do not touch the Black BARE wire. Take the wire nut off the Black wire and separate the wires by holding onto its insulation. Once the wires are separated, put the wire nut back on the wire coming out of the wall, the other wire goes to the device. TIME TO MAN UP !!!

you might want to replace the doorbell switch at the door. it could be shorted out. you want to in the mean time, turn off the power to the door bell because the coils just getting constant power and not doing anything can make it overheat and cause a fire. i fixed my neighbors that had the same issue and it was scolding hot on the inside of the bell
