Here's an update to DinoBlade. I'm adding in Raptor with feather with an attack animation. I also changed the Spinosaurus model so that it's unique. Still in early dev but I'm happy with how it looks so far! patreon.com/jeananimate
I want to make this CLEAR right now. When this game does launch, DO NOT oblivously overwhelm this creator with complaints. Go to the community and discuss things and collectively give feedback. Nothing worse than making someone wish they didn't have to bare a burden they once had passion for.
Let alone they initially never even had plans to ever make this into a game in the first place, it's one person who decided okay I'll develop this concept into a game, so yes at launch it'll be pretty buggy have issues may have crashes stutters fps drops etc, cuz again as we should keep in mind, this wonderful gem isn't a game developer he just makes animations for fun, we're lucky he even decided to give us a game out of it, and so don't barrage him support him be like the helldiver's community stand together in a wholesome way for growth instead of complain about anything that might be off or not be working, and if there's some of us in the community built that do dabble in game dev help a brother out give him some tips maybe even show him how to improve on something he's not sure on (provided you ask if he wants you to rather than randomly shove it on him.) if there's a chance we can help make dinoblade something amazing we should all do our part to help this man see that vision fulfilled.
Holy *damn* that Ankylosaurus is cool. "Oh, you think you're big shit because you're a predator with a sword? I have two bludgeons and armor, assclown, bring it!"
honestly this is truly the first game that I have felt in my soul I need in my life. I have not experienced that kind of feeling since I was a young kid, the animation looks great even in the early stages. I am excited to see how well it turns out later on, you definitely have some amazing potential here and are definitely on the right track.
Agreed. Sometimes, I really want to play RPGs as a monster or creature instead of play as a hero or humanity hope like Prototype game series, Spore, and Maneater. The RPG I wanna play is an Open-world, Survival RPG, and play as a non-human character like an Alien life form that consumes every life form and creature and evolves into a more powerful creature and collects natural resources and biomass, life essences to evolve and build nest instead of collecting natural resource for buildings and crafting weapons.
The attack animations per dino/weapon type are unique, each Dino has a personality, and the animations are so CLEAN! This game has so much potential! Pure joy in a game.
I feel like there should be a blocking animation but other than that every single bit we get of this game has me sooo damn hyped for it to come out. Amazing work man
A block mechanic may add the possibility of extremely defensive and boring strategies based on how implemented, there's already a weapons clashing mechanic soo blocking would probably be addee (even tough i believe this game could very easily go without it)
@@PhilAndMind Oh I think you might mistake me I meant like an animation for parrying mechanic, since I think it was just sparks flying of the dinosaur when parried instead of the blade. i said block on accident my bad if I confused you.
@@silvermatter1739 oh it's cool, really hope we will get some form of particles being still visible on lower settings too soo that we don't spoil the fun fir lower end pc's
I was explaining this to a few of my non-gamer aquaintances. I ended up summarizing the ideal as, "Honestly, its kinda dumb but its also the COOLEST DAMN THING I'VE EVER SEEN!"
@@Moe_Posting_Chad i'm not saying its a bad game just that, logically speaking, Dinos with blades is farfetched. Also, Halo always took itself seriously. That's actually what made it stand out. People were used to campy alien shooters when Halo shows up with a grounded, gritty universe.
@@mattz459 Halo also mechanically set the standard for how an FPS should feel to play from the guns, all the way to driving a warthog... Its fingerprints are on everything now.
We have been watching the updates and progress of your work on DinoBlade and holy shit, this game is going to be fire. Will definitely be picking up a copy as soon as possible, keep up the amazing work!
I love this. Imagine if the game starts in prehistoric times and with levels and areas passing by time passes. So you get to fight against the meteor that would've killed dinosaurs in the mid game and the second half of the game is essentially the medieval ages, the modern times and the last levels are in a cyberpunk aesthetic to justify dinosaurs with guns (and to add more modern weapons too)
No joke this would be a sick ass anime “A long time ago the Tyrannosaurus rex would be crowned king, but me? A lowly ankylosaurus? I wanted to watch the system fall, I trained day after day, and ready to kick mutherfrickin butt, I’m coming after you Rex, mark my words”
“And here we see the tyrannosaurus performing an areal rave and ending in gunslinger hailstorm. This is one of many instances where animals achieved an S rank in the late Cretaceous”
I guess I'm invested because I'm literally watching everything that pops up about this dude making this game. I gotta say its a great idea. I'm curious to see just where this goes.
The fact that there is so much potential for characters for a game like this is insane Like an Amargasaurus with a serrated whip or others that could give this game so much replay ability
I think adding sunlight streaming through the clouds would add a lot of visual depth and give more contrast on the screen. The graphics look great right now but could do with a break from the monotonous gray tones.
@@jeananimate Holy crud I love this stuff Dinosaurs, anime moves, awesome music Keep up the good work bro P.s carnotaurus is my fav and having a crazy demon Carno boss would be so cool :D
The animations for this game are very good, that is true. What I'm worried though is the actual gameplay. Dev should focus on making this game an actual GAME more.
Compys w/ Kunai? Gallimimus with a rapier? Pachycephalosaurs... Drunken staff? Apatosaurus with hookswords, one in the mouth and one on the tail. Stegosaurus catching chakrams on the tail spikes.
My fav Dino is the Pachy. It would be cool if the there was a Pachy who's head was the weapon. It could act like a shield and deflect or parry. The head could be adorned with spiked like a morning star. Maybe the skull would just be like a blunt club. IDK...
Idea for a part of the game: Make classes for the game (ex. Heavy weapons, ranged weapons, light weapons, and like medium weapons) and with these different classes make it so that certain classes counteract the other classes (ex. Light is better for fighting heavy while heavy is good at fighting medium while medium is better used against light) but still make it so that no matter what class you choose you still have a chance of coming out on top as long as you have enough skill
Other People: We got games like The Isle to play as accurate dinosaurs. We need nothing else! Me: Heheh, Spino with Buster Sword Go Shwing Slash Slice!
When will this be released and where? I am genuinely willing to pay money for this game. From what presumably started as a joke this actually looks insane
