First time out for months, with a change of plan due to the weather. Instead of a scramble, we headed to Dinorwic quarry. With Koos, the scrambling dutchman. Check out his channel... Clogs on the mountain.

Hi mate, it was a bit sore for a day or so, but nowhere near as bad as it was. I'll have to try a mountain now! 😆👍

Great to see you back out and about mate👍. Wife suffered with Plantar for a couple of years. Stopped going on walks, so fair play trying to get back out. In the rain of course😂

Yeah, it's been a real pain in the..er foot. It had to rain didn't it? Koos' fault although he always tries to blame me..😂😂👍

Hi Spencer, good to see you back out and about. Once the foot has fully recovered I can highly recommend the Snowdonia Slate Trail, hope to see you back up high soon. Atb Mark.

Thanks Mark, I've looked at the slate trail and hope to do it one day. First up is the Cumbria way some time this year. Then I want to do the coast to coast next year. 👍

I'm also looking at the C2C, did the Cumbria Way last year and loved every step of the way, you'll certainly find it easier going than the Tour of the Lakes! Good luck and look forward to seeing your video.

Did you do it in 5 days? And is the last section to Carlisle as boring as some say?
@markmurphy7356
@markmurphy7356 3 месяца назад
@@OutandaboutwithSpencer When I did it the section between Dalston and Carlisle was closed so I had to walk along the main road for 4 miles with no footpath, I'm glad I did it to complete full walk but if I do it again I'll finish in Dalston, even on the official path it's a pretty bad end to a spectacular walk. And yes, 5 days is spot on.

@markmurphy7356 thanks. I was thinking of finding out if there's a bus from Dalston to go and do Helvellyn via the edges.
