Tbh it depends on the dinosaur, most canibalize the already dead unless they have to kill their own so they won’t starve, while non pack hunters like most T. rex genomes would do both, and spinos would do the same.

Aye, it's shocking to most humans however I reckon because we're social animals and we're geared for co-operation to a much greater extent. We have some human groups more inclined to rivalry and even cannibalism, nevertheless I think most of us seek non-human food sources via co-operation.

It’s because it’s one of the first and only discoveries of cannibalism among animals in the fossil record. It’s just really exciting to see this being found. And not all animals practice cannibalism, so we weren’t sure if dinosaurs did, but this discovery says it may have been a thing. Personally, I’m not kinda sure on this, because there’s always a possibility that this is a case of dominance or fighting over something (like a mate or territory), not cannibalism.

That was an extremely interesting and entertaining animated video, although l don't think that it would have been that easy for predators of this size to able to sneak up and surprise ambush another predator of the same size in those wide open spaces. From my understanding, these dinosaurs had great vision, and would have just been way too alert knowing that other big predators would be present around a kill. Having said that, I really enjoyed the video. I would love to see more videos like this. Thank you.

Depend on how their vision work, it's still a possibility. Like lions, for example, they got great vision as well as a near perfect night vision. But the way their vision work made it difficult for them to easily distinguish a single zebra in a zebra herd due to their strips. It's possible that, while dinosaurs had a great sight, they also couldn't really see colors like humans and the combination of that and their own skin made them capable of hiding in plain sight.

Majungasaurus wasn't that large though lol, stood like 2 meters tall and grew to a length of around 6 meters But yes, quite incredible. Barosaurus may have reached a length of 45 meters. How insane is that? A blue whale and a half, walzing about in search of trees to shear
