The quarry owner might understand, but what do we know about his banks attitude. The quarry owner has a business to run. Who is paying if his machinery stands still?
@@antonkruseandersen5654 I'm sure there's a lot more rock where the came from throughout the rest of his quarry. I can only see it being a minor inconvenience at the most.
Throughout the video we hear that the quarry owner is cooperative, but he doesn’t give the palaeontologists free hands to everything. So calling him an asshole is not fair. But maybe that was not your final verdict, you did write “my first thought”. Nobody knows how far these footprints go in the rest of the quarry. So if it is decided to shutdown everything until the palaeontologists do know they should compensate the quarry owner. Maybe they allready do I didn't hear about it in the video.
I thought this doc was interesting and especially appreciated how the the land owner/businessman, and scientists came together for a mutual agreement that also involved the public.
Also as i was watching at time 37:44 if you pause it on that time to the very far right bottom of the prints are 2 separate footprints in a very lower surface ( look for the colour change in rock from a grey to like a orange-brown type of surface so different with the 2 separate tracks) of tracks which say it was a vast area for a very long time maybe they should take off the top layers and explore whats underneath it too?
28:07 if the claw was moved up like that Would it not get caught on the underbrush when walking ! I would say it would have two positions One for movement and one for cutting of attacking ! That way it wouldn't damage the tool that was made for damaging other animals ! Plus if it was laid down when walking it would of kept the toenail sharp much like a cat does when scratching to remove the outer layers of claw to keep sharp and clean
Could they not take plaster Castings of footprints so they have a permanent record? And the water level seems to be more to the right side of the rock surface than the left as the prints seems to be slodgy or the right and no more prints on the dryer left side
@@michaelsquires6255 Thanks matey i bet if they removed the top layers they would find many more to it seems the water hole has been there for a very long and maybe work into the rock face coming down in the sediment layers? Its amazing cheers
Shannon Smith is correct. No vertebrate has backward facing knees. They all point forward. Just out of curiosity: are you a creationist/theist who was looking for some new, "intelligent" argument against evolution?

Hey Ron, here at Spark we're always looking for exciting content for people of all levels of education and understanding, so while it's great you know about this concept, there are new people every day hoping to learn.
Besides keeping it from blunting, it also was the coking position, for use of the weapon. The two motions were identical . Raising the foot to step, and raising the foot to strike.
32:54 Eh, yeah..........I call bullshit on that. There's no way a pack of wolf-sized troodonts could take down a giant Iguanodon. This documentary lost all credibility right then and there.
While I agree it both sound and look unlikely, saying that the pack wouldn't be able to finish off a weakened(old, sick, injured or even a juvernile individual) even with an actual ambush, not like in this video where they spend time snapping the air before jumping onto the Iguanadon. If there's a chance then it probably could and did happen however unlikely it may be.
@@StoneTitanou do realize this would be the equivalent of a pack of timber wolves killing an Asian elephant? Unless it was a young calf, it ain't gonna happen. Being "prehistoric" doesn't make small carnivorous dinosaurs magically more deadly.
@@daliborjovanovic510 Or a injured blind man killed by a flock of Ravens. Go for the vital parts(such as the eyes) and the prey risk further injuring itself while having a harder time defending itself. While it's very unlikely, It should be possible if the predator is willing to go for the waiting game.(though they would risk going for leftovers if a larger predator showed up)
@Martha Sviniard Says the dimwit who is willing to believe that a pack of 40 kg animals could take down a 5-tonne behemoth. You obviously don't know anything about how dinosaurs and animals in general work, but no paleontologist believes that the aforementioned scenario is even remotely possible, but such scenes are usually implanted by the non-scientists making such series purely to make it more exciting, prioritizing sensationalism over plausibility. And how do raptor teeth embedded in hadrosaur bones prove they killed the hadrosaur? That just means they fed on the carcass (a.k.a scavenging). And sharp teeth and claws? That still doesn't cancel out the size difference. Getting scratched and bitten by raptors would be about as lethal to a giant hadrosaur as your cat biting and scratching you. And neanderthals hunting mammoths? Eh....last time I checked, raptors didn't know how to control fire, or make and use spears, or lure prey into canyons and drop boulders on them. So please, be a good lad and shut your trap.
Another day another dinosaur documentary. Nice iguanodons, totally not the same the design from Walking With Dinosaurs. And... the hands.. they're pronated wrong... why
LordOfThe Flightless because of Stephen fucking Spielberg people think raptors had forked tongues like monitor lizards, manipulated objects like doorknobs by hand, and above all, were vindictive killers regardless of their appetite.
TROH-uh-don. Not "true-don". Yes it matters, especially if you expect me to watch more than 4 minutes of what looks like an otherwise good documentary.
You need to read the evaluate everything now as creation scientist geologist all agree the one great flood of Noah, causing everything we see is it was changed in the fossil record.
This retractable claw idea of being kept raised or down. How about the claw was kept inside a sheath similar to how a cat keeps its' claw safe and clean when not in attach mode.
There is absolutely no benefit what so ever for the so called "cycle toed claw" what so ever. That particular claw has NO advantage over the other claws or any other animal, prediter or not. If that was the case, there would be many with such a foot and claw configuration, but there isn't, because it has NO advantage!
Then why do modern raptors still have deeply curved claws? Just because you don't _think_ there was an advantage doesn't mean they were useless, they wouldn't be in the fossil record for so long if they offered no advantage.
@@American-Plague It seems like these trolls are on every video I watch. They go to videos they don't agree with for the sole purpose of starting something. I have recently begun doing the same thing on their videos with a sockpuppet account, and the funny thing is they are so stupid that they don't know they are being trolled. Give it a try; it's fun.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're kind of wrong.... There's hypotheses that are produced based on some fossil evidence. And then those hypotheses can be either validated or invalidated as more fossil evidence is uncovered. That's not _at all_ the same thing as "making up as you go". @@christianv-h3278 I hear what you say but that dog just won't hunt. You base the age of dinosaurs on a faulty geological record which is based on what particular dinosaur bones are in a particular Strada. There is no plumb line with you guys. It takes more faith to believe in evolution that something so magnificently huge like a big bang came out of nothing. You mock Christians... When they disagree with you, you just try to say they are uneducated people because they don't know what science says. But we do know what science says well enough to say that they are wrong. Science and the Bible agree. You guys simply refuse to look in that direction. I'd be glad to discuss it with you if you have anything of value to say. But I'm not going to endure Antifa - like statements like "I don't mean to burst your bubble." When you don't have a good intellectual argument to backup your rhetoric you come up with this passive-aggressive crap to level the playing field to a more manageable position. if you have to put somebody down to make your point then I want nothing to do with that kind of philosophy or religion. You want to talk to me you do it with respect.
@@normanclature9819 I'm not sure why you mention the Bible or Christianity - I never mentioned those (let alone mocked)... And by the way, "burst your bubble" is a common expression... It's not used only by Antifa and other political extremists. And you're talking about me, being "passive-agressive" and "mocking" regarding religion. I'd like to say that your initial comment about "paleontology being made up as you go" sounded also quite mocking and disrespectful regarding all the science that has been done over the past 2 centuries... I am sorry I came off as disrespectful, but you should also be.
@@christianv-h3278 You're condescending to not just me but to Christians in general and I responded back regarding that. Then you write another condescending comment and tell me that you're not being condescending. If Grandma had Wheels she'd be a bike but she does. It is what it is.
Yeah...agreed. What's actually absurd is your intentional misunderstanding/misrepresentation of what's being said. Why exactly do you people do this? Take what's being said and twist it around to make it sound as stupid as you possibly can, then present that as what's actually being said and start going on about how ridiculous what YOU and nobody else said, is? Why don't we try an experiment to show you how stupid you sound: you give your version of how things happened and I'll make shit up, put it in your mouth and then we can all have a laugh at what YOU said? Actually I'm pretty sure we'd all have a laugh at what you actually said anyway without me having to twist anything so to make it shorter, just tell us what REALLY happened?
Nightrite just because you want to believe everything the mainstream shoves down your gullible throat don’t expect people with more intelligence to question it.

cool but as a creationist I would say the classification is wrong. These creatures are not dinosaurs from whence birds come but they are just flightless ground birds. they are not reptiles or dinos. There are no dinos. These are birds in a spectrum of diversity. birds are not dinos but these creatures are birds.
do you have qualifications to say folks don't have qualifications? thats just loser dumb. All these matters are open to mankind to think about after investigative methods. You don't just obey everything you hear. thats what ruinned most of mankind and hurt the rest. Care to explain? It's not for nothing that I'm a paleontology researcher, let's debate this! I bet we can discuss all sorts of points of evidence, such as maniraptoran cladistics, shared morphological characteristics, cranial kinesis - I mean seriously, cut the crap. Birds _are_ dinosaurs, it's a fact that has been proven by evidence gathered over 2 centuries.
