You know what's the sad part of being a 20-year-old rock and heavy metal enthusiast, you don't get to see the old legends Live :( I would do anything to go back in time to watch every rock and heavy metal band Live
Vidit Jain I was there in the 80s and early 90s. I’d go back in a heartbeat. So much fun partying. And no cellphones, no instagram to embarrass you later. 😃
@@danicazivaljic7499 Rap shudder lol I hear ya,, I try to get friends to listen to metal and most don't get it and run back to rap or pop ,,,, I don't get them lol
Dude mood. And even worse, I was out one evening with a few friends from uni and a girl I'm friends with, not at all into metal just drops "oh, I saw motorhead at Glastonbury". Suddenly, I realised that they had been performing in my life time but I'd missed them. I asked her what she remembered, "they were loud"
Back in the day was great. The 90s had artists playing smaller venues in some areas. I saw dio when I was 18 not 12 feet away from him at a general admissions concert
You know your the Godfather of Metal when you put on a show like this in your early 60's.What a true testament to just how he immortalized his name in metal forever.R.I.P. Ronnie James Dio🤟
You can see his eyes and easily understand that he was a good man... Rest In Peace KING..... Βλέποντας τα μάτια του, εύκολα καταλαβαίνει κανείς ότι ήταν καλός άνθρωπος... ο θεός ας τον αναπαύσει...
Yep right at the start you see that look he gives the guitarist and smiles. And by all accounts he was one of the nicest people you could meet, very down to earth.
I just love this song. I love the message that no matter how bleak everything looks, you are still a rainbow and you will shine on, and when he says at the end that we were all his rainbows it brings tears to my eyes. Not only he was a master of rock and metal, but he feels like such a wholesome and warm person. The kind of person that has gone through a lot, and wants you to know that things do get better. Love him.
When there's lightning, you know it always brings me down 'Cause it's free and I see that it's me Who's lost and never found I cry out for magic, I feel it dancing in the light It was cold, I lost my hold To the shadows of the night No sign of the morning coming You've been left on your own Like a rainbow in the dark A rainbow in the dark Do your demons, do they ever let you go? When you've tried, do they hide, deep inside Is it someone that you know You're just a picture, you're an image caught in time We're a lie, you and I We're words without a rhyme There's no sign of the morning coming You've been left on your own Like a rainbow in the dark Just a rainbow in the dark, yeah When I see lightning, you know it always brings me down 'Cause it's free and I see…
Sadly Ronnie the great Dio , would pass 5 years later from stomach cancer!!! What a great man the best there ever was!!! Number one power vocalist of all time!!!!!!!! Heavy Metal legend!!!!! Music royalty!!!
My first concert was r j d in 87 or88 in Portland Maine .paid 20$ he gave every cent worth and more .guess you could say shows I've seen since don't measure up . he poured his soul into his performance and left me wanting more. Thank you Ronnie RIP
If I lost my hearing, I would just replay Dio tracks in my brain....I would be OK My regret in life is that I can't take my son to a Dio concert.. If you read the history of this track, they almost threw it out! Dio says on a RU-vid video "It almost got to the point where I said 'I am going to destroy this tape'" ... It would be like throwing your precious baby out with the bath water...When I finally get to Metal Heaven...this is the first concert I will see........I'll buy you a beer there....
Totally awesome. Came out while I was in high school..lol. I'm 54. It brings me as much joy now as it did in the back of my friends car drinking Miller lite..
This show is one I always recommend to all rock music fans, even moreso than this particular concert I highly recommend the New York Live 2002 'Dio - Evil or Divine' from which the DVD copy I have is near burnt right out from usage over the years and now the unofficial soundtrack for my street also 🤘🏻
being in the school bus back in 2000s a friend send me via bluetooth this song , since then i learn about Dio, Sabbath ,Ozzy etc , Metal will Never Die !!!
Mr. DIO ... A True Genius ; epic tunes ; Fantastic Band Members ... TASCO Sound ! The Total Package ✓ ... Ronnie James Dio ( R.I.P. ) NONE FINER and None Better !!! Thank You tor all the Ear Candy ! C.F. 🇺🇸 ♦️
I was at this gig with a friend, with DIO also URIAH HEEP and another band that I cannot recall, it was a good gig, and my friend and I finished stoned with too much to drink .......... it was at the ASTORIA venue (it is not anymore), close to TOTTENHAM COURT ROAD UNDERGROUND STATION.
