Buffalo Bills' Dion Dawkins discussed his NFL journey from early graduation to the league. He acknowledged a second chance after some trouble early on allowed him to focus on his NFL dreams. Dawkins went for private workouts with four teams before being selected 63rd overall in the 2017 draft. Signed to a four-year, $4.18 million contract by the Bills, Dion mentioned the emotional scenes amid his family on signing the biggest check of his life. During his rookie year, Dawkins dedicated his performances to his brother, who was arrested and jailed shortly after Dion's draft. He wore red cleats in every game as a tribute to his brother. Dion recalled the initial cultural differences between himself and Josh Allen when the latter joined the team but praised Allen for making it easy to protect him, even saying he would 'die for the kid.' The interview touched on Dawkins' determination and dedication, while also highlighting the Bills Mafia.

I’m a rich white kid from Orchard Park and we used to get weed from the house on Gitre st on the East side with absolutely no fear whatsoever. I used to deliver pizza at Carbones all the way down Jefferson ave, Perry Projects etc with absolutely no fear. I’d have a full pocket of money and walk through the grotto of the Perry Projects on the South Park side on a Saturday night in summer with no fear. If I did that in Chicago, Baltimore or Detroit I’m dead. You gotta be kidding me.

@@axe2grind244😂😂😂 you funny my guy. Buffalo reminds me of Pittsburgh a little as far being a blue collared city that loves their sports. However, it does has a serious small criminal element to it, but only if you're involved with some real fools from there. But don't say it doesn't happen because in these cities it can happen unexpectedly. Those cities you mentioned have more poor minorities when you're always on watch and have to watch your back at any given time in certain areas.

Memo to Vlad : People are not driven solely by money. Their barometer for measuring their fulfillment and happiness with their life is more important than $$$ signs. When you talk to someone who’s made it you jump right to “man how does it feel to have $2 mill in the bank? What was your first purchase? Never how did it feel to accomplish such a feat? Etc. You are a talented smart individual which got you where you are. And I thoroughly enjoy your interviews. You’re great at what you do. No one can deny that. But as time goes by I’m finding a big void on anything outside the dollar factor. A lack of empathy or concern for others not doing well. Since to me success is way more than a bank account i have to contemplate if i wish to continue to listen.
