Hello, yes, and your daughter T comments above. She is at 7.15. Congratulations. I was a very minor catwalk model in my teens in England. I really enjoyed meeting people at the shows. It was fast-paced backstage and fun!
A somber palette. Perhaps reflecting the mood of the planet. Designs tending towards the severe. Ensembles very reminiscent of a pre-WWII aesthetic (with modern twists of course). Interesting.
The color palette is for the fall, I really liked the boldness of the business jackets, with these other designs, the light color fringe dresses looked pretty, and the open backs are beautiful on these dresses, capturing the after math of world war II and adding a dash of glamour with the dresses! I loved it a lot.
Some good solid black pieces and of course one can always find room for another leopard coat, but nothing I'm really raving about. What I did love is that fabulous patchwork tile floor! How cool it would be to reference that for a collex!
Тоска и однообразие. От всех Домов Моды одно воспоминание осталось, то, что было символом красоты, женственности, элегантности, роскоши для настоящих леди, превратилось в зарядное нечто для девчонок.
Props for the Yoko Ono music!! Here are the tracks for those searching: Walking on Thin Ice Aproximately Infinite Universe Dogtown Walking on Thin Ice (Reprise)
They just did a fall 2024 collection in Paris in February. Now another fall 2024 collection in New York, but different designs? I don't understand. What's happening?
Hay prendas de todas las décadas, es como viajar desde los años 40 hasta el 2024. De pronto, me pareció ver el famoso vestido negro de Melanie Griffith que lució en el film Secretaria ejecutiva en los 80.
With every show, Maria Grazia is asserting confidently what Her Dior looks like. The striking Canadian First-Nations model Heather Diamond Strongarm seems to distill the elegant essence of today’s Lady Dior. And Ena Poppe’s look no.2 evokes perfectly the effortless chic of Dietrich for the self-assured women of the 2020s. The glory of Christian Dior New York, marrying the glamour of New Look with American “realness,” shines tonight at the Brooklyn Museum. Brava!
Word salad indeed! When a fine balance between sophistication and allure has been achieved, wordy description is beside the point. Just look at how FANTASTIC the Dior Stars like Rosamund Pike, Karlie Kloss, Michelle Williams, etc. looked. No gimmicks. No exposed boobs. Even Charlize Theron, who usually goes for vamp, slayed ultra-cool. Need I say more?
Dior used to celebrate femininity, elegance and grace. Now all I see are over sized men's clothes on women, looking like you are half dressed, and a depressing color palette going into the colder months. I have been a Dior admirer for a long time, but this collection is disappointing to me.
