I got my DHP 100ml, June 2023 batch. I borrow the word from you and say, it is 'awesome'- dense, rich, uplifting, and the longevity of more than 10 hours on my skin. I do own DHI, but DHP easily deserves the elevated rostrum.
This stuff is so sensual that if you spray it on before a date on Saturday night, there's a good chance you'll fall in love with yourself and skip the date! I know the title says DHP 2014 but what's the date of the bottle you're using? Someone I know picked up a 2014 bottle at a duty free shop recently and I couldn't figure out why they had 2014 bottles still around. Normally I would always want a 2014 bottle because of IFRA reformulatons starting in 2015, but with something like DHP which hasn't been reformulated, I'd want the latest bottle because top notes have a tendency to weaken after 3 or 4 years. Based on the formula codes on the boxes, this has never been reformulated and if the new bottles of DHI which weren't reformulated are any indication, the new 100 ml bottles of DHP won't be either.
@@TLTGReviews That much I gathered as a hobbyist, but the casual viewer might think you were reviewing a bottle from the first year of release. As with hundreds, if not thousands of reviews on RU-vid, many of them are very outdated because the reviewer is discussing a bottle that's since been reformulated, and many never thought to mention the batch code or date in the video or "show more" area. Quite a few reviewers didn't even understand batch codes for many years, let alone realize that many houses even listed the formula codes on the boxes. Dior even goes one step further to try to prevent counterfeiting and that's to have the Dior logo on the bottom of the atomizer tube inside the bottle for some releases. Thanks for responding with the bottle dates. Hopefully, we'll be able to ascertain what the last date of production of the 75 ml bottles were, but that can only happen if reviewers on RU-vid and Fragrantica or Basenotes start mentioning their batch dates! I'm guessing that it's sometime in the late 3rd qtr. or early 4th qtr. of 2019.
What a great review 👏, this is ma best designer fragrance. Lemme bring your attention to something I have the 100 ml and with like 4 sprays I can smell my self 4 the next 24 hours it is a real beast mood projection lasted 5 hours at least i don't think it has been reformulated I have seen the 75 ml alot recently and didn't buy it, I bought the new 100 instead.
I've checkd the 100ml 2020 version today and i can assure its really different from the opening is more fresh. Ive got 3 bottles 75ml the old bottle so there's a difference for sure.
75ml DHP should be still good at 2019, but still got people complain that even 2019 batch for 75ml are watered down already .. is that really happen..? should people can buy for that if people still can find that 75ml now .. thank you
i had to get in on the hype of this after everyone was raving about it. i finally got it and my thoughts are that, the opening is beautiful and the dry down is too leathery for me. i found it a little overrated bearing in my mind i got the 2019 formulation but longevity on all dior homme's are good on my clothes not skin. i prefer intense and the original edt. the best thing me for me about parfum is the opening because the iris is their after a few hours the iris goes and I smell leather.
A great review Ross. After what Dior did to DH edt, my original doesn't quite sit right with me anymore. Very interested to see where they decide to take the line. I'm thinkin' an oud flanker.
I haven’t smelled the parfum yet, I have the DH Intense and i absolutely Love this fragrance! I have heard that if I like DH intense that I will love DH parfum. I just haven’t been able to find it. I’ve traveled to Qatar, Istanbul, Dubai and like you said it is very hard to find. I have high hopes of finding it next time I travel.
Honest opinion. Do your think the Dior Homme Parfum early 2019 batch is worth the $259 that it’s going for on EBay. I have DH original and DHI. I like them both. Is the Parfum that good? I don’t mind paying niche prices for a bottle even is it was going for a lot cheaper originally. I’m just on the fence if I should wait for the 100ml to become available. Supposedly they smell the basically the same, probably will lose a little on the performance. The extra money I spend on the 2019 might be worth the performance. What year is your batch? I respect your opinion that’s why I ask. Thanks in advance.
@@TLTGReviews thanks. I really appreciate your response. I think I’ll just use my Layton Exclusif for the colder weather for now. Which we never get in FL. Going to Nashville next week, gonna put in some good use on Exclusif. Different vibe then Dior Homme Parfum, but more my style. Guess I’ll just take my chances on the 100ml when it becomes available. Thanks again for the response. Saved me some paper.
I heard someone mention that this was somewhat similar to , Prada lhomme intense because of the leather I’m assuming? I would really want your thoughts on that , seeing as though I just purchased DHP for a nice chunk of change and I currently own PLHI . Thanks
@@N0ggie they aren’t similar like you can clearly smell the difference in both but what I will say they have like the same vibe like they are on the same spectrum but on to different ends is how I would put it . nd that’s just my opinion
To my nose , I smell the new 100 ml is totally different than the old one specially at the opening, slightly different in the middle (similarity 80%) to the old one and in the dry down 90% similarity. In the opening, the gorgeous oud note was disappeared. In the performance, (the new DHP is not beast mode at all) the new one 100ml is 35% less than the old version. the new version has less than 8 hours longevity and maximum 3 hours projection while the old one 24+ longevity and 4+ hours projection. In the scent, the new version is missed the depth, it becomes simple or normal fragrance. It depends on (wood, iris and leather) only and become more wearable while the old version 75 ml has more depth and more notes in addition to the new one notes such as powder, cream, rose, leather and oud. The blend itself in old version 75ml is so rich like high end nishe quality and has more concentration however the new version is definitely watered down then lost lots of its distinguish in the scent itself and performance sides. In eazy way, The new DHP version is in somewhere between Dior Home Intense and Old Dior Home Parfum 75 ml To sum up, ithe new version is the diet version of the old DHP. Note: although all reviews said DHP 100 ml has reformulated but Dior still insist on writing the same number of formula. This is SHAME on Dior house!!
@@stutru 1) Either keep checking the unauthorized discounters like Fragrancenet or Fragrancex 2) Find a friend who travels out of the USA and ask them to pick up a bottle at the airport duty free shops. 3) Check Selfridges in the UK frequently. They're an authorized Dior retailer that ships internationally.
The Backup Bottle Boss dude! Thank you! I’ve never purchased from perfume.com but would there be any concern over getting a legit bottle from them? But seriously... thanks for helping with the leg work to find this for sale 😁
Short answer is NO, they seems to have amped up some ingredient's to give some tiny bit of freshness at the beginning but it is the same formula and same experience.
Hmmm... I saw the colour and thought for sure you were wearing a Vikings touque. :) Too soon?? Thanks for the review. Dior Homme is not for me at this time.
