Dior Homme Review! Modern Perfection 

I just bought this today after months of searching for a new signature fragrance. It is exactly what was looking for. Something sort of floral, yet masculine, refined, and subtle. I completely agree that when I first smelled it I thought of my grandma, or like a library or something. The longer I smelled it on my skin I loved it more and more. It is unlike any other fragrance I have ever smelled. I went back and smelled all the other fragrances I was considering and they all seemed so unrefined compared to this one. It's liquid gold! I absolutely love it. Excellent review, there were several times I found myself nodding my head to your observations.

I highly agree with the back-story of DH being some girl kissing you...that's the underrated genius part about this.

I am wearing Dior Homme Eau right now. If some of you are new, I'll explain to you what this stuff smells like. It smells like lipstick and cupcakes, along with leather and flowers. It is so awesome!!!!!

I have the reformulation of DH and it lasts 12 hours on my skin. I personally think it's better than the vintage. I get better performance and it has more cacao. Master friggin piece!

Dior homme is great for spraying on clothing it's not a projection monster , but like you said it's fine for office settings . Dior homme eau is my favourite from the dior line . The drydown from dior homme is my favourite part the cacao and leather are really nice.

Also prefer DH to DHI boys. Looked forward to watching this as soon as I saw it posted a couple days ago. Didn't let me down, nice work as usual fellas.

I subscribed ages ago but I've spent the last week going through your videos and bought Pure Malt and Havane blindly and love them both. Dior Homme and DHI are my favourite frags. I love what you do, I love your channel and the way you engage with your audience is so natural. It's such a shame Jer doesn't do the videos any more.

I agree with you guys I've always thought this was better than DHI. This is the best designer fragrance I've ever smelt. A true masterpiece, a fragrance that is as much art as it is a fragrance.

Smells like a mixture of hairspray and makeup...which is brings back memories of my "young" Mom getting ready for work.

my number one, I have loved this for years. recently bought dhi as well and love them both. But this DH is the type you can take anywhere and fit in, where dhi requires a specific environment for it to flourish. Thanks for this review guys, really really enjoyed it.

This is one of my favourites. It has a wonderful sillage that makes you feel calm and elevated, almost like floating on a cloud. Lol. The drydown is also the best I've come across, it just gets better and better during the day. I don't find this feminine at all compared to all the syrupy sweet smells around, like 1 million.

True! I have DHI but prefer DH when i smell it in stores. They smell almost identical but DHI is less versatile its stronger earthier, whereas DH is classier smoother, lighter and easier to wear in my opinion.

And I thought I'm the only one who prefers the DH over DHI ! Spot-on review gents and love your work, so keep it coming please.

I'm afraid to say bro's, I'm already on the DHI band wagon and I'm not coming off anytime soon! I have a sample of Dior homme, and after watching your review put some on my wrists! I do agree, this thing is a masterpiece and off the top (not sure if I'm the only one) I get almost a fresh lavender vibe? And that iris packs a nice punch! I agree it 'remiss' me of my grandmothers perfume but it is still very masculine. Although in my opinion, NOTHING BEATS DHI, this one definitely came close!!! Great review Bro's keep them coming!! Possibly a shoot out between this, DHI and Guerlain l'instant eau extreme?

This one is fresher but Dhi is more rounded, profound, opulent ands spanks its big brother DH, this is one i believe its flanker over shadow the original..Good review guys and God bless

Great review guys. This is my signature scent. I get a ton of compliments on this fragrance and I believe it is a masterpiece. I have owned the original Polge formulation and the Demachy 2011 reformulation and I believe the 2011 version is better. Less iris and a bit more cocoa makes it more wearable.

I just picked this up and all I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW I think that I have found my go to fragrance this juice has class written all over it and my wife can't stop smelling me.

Very good review guys. This is my favorite fragrance of all-time right here. Although I slightly prefer the latter formulations because I feel the iris is a bit more balanced. As for DHI, when I first smelled it, it smelled like an incomplete DH to me. That's basically what it is after all... DH with some notes removed and notes 'amped up' to compensate. With that said however, DHI is in my top 10. Super sexy fragrance. Just goes to show how much I love Dior Homme that even an 'incomplete' DH is one of my favs haha.

Amazing review guys as usual, I do think Dior is may favourite designer frag house, I love and own DHI, Bois D'Argent and after your review I think about buying regular DH, because of it being more universal than DHI. Great job guys and can't wait for another vid. Take care :)

Yesterday I wore Pure Havane and my GF said I smelled like cough syrup--- sadly she doesn't like the opening I guess. Today I wore Dior Homme and she smelled it on me and asked if I rubbed chocolate on myself! You should do a video of your all-time smoothest frags. Dior Homme is such perfection. It smells good on you at all times unlike some fragrances where the opening or middle may come off a bit harsh. I know you'll know what I mean when I say Dior Homme is great the entire day when you keep getting just tiny whiffs of it and it just gives off that classy vibe. I agree it's not a gourmand at all but I get why some think chocolate or something edible when they smell it. It just smells tasty :)

I wear this one alot in the summer.. it IS perfection! Wears a bit more sweet on me than on my guy friend who also likes to wear it. It's soft yummy suede that wears cool & comforting, definitely sexy & classy!

I believe that's a fragrance for winter and fall. It is too heavy for summer and spring! Where I live is over 30°C at night, too hot for this fragrance!

Is that lipstick on your color or is that Dior Homme I smell? You mentioned Dan that Leather makes this perfume more masculine and wondered how it would smell on a woman, A few women at the Dior Boutique here wear it and it smells fantastic on them. They love it. There are many leathers for women, Cabochard Gres for women is a great leather scent made for women but so butch a man can wear it. It is serendipitous that you guys reviewed this today as I am going out tomorrow to finally buy a bottle of this great fragrance. As always your review is so enjoyable. I am looking forward to the 12 days of Christmas...Yay!

About 2 years ago I resolved to do away w/ all of my designer fragrances and turn more to niche. For some reason designer fragrances began to smell very similar to me...generic...scented water...Macy's like....however, this is one of a short list of designer fragrances that I couldn't leave behind (V&R Spicebomb, Guerlain Vetiver, D&G The One, Givenchy Pi, Bleu de Chanel, and most of theThierry Mugler's line)...of all, the most I enjoy is this one...and if I had to give up all of the designer fragrances from this list as well, this is the one I couldn't definitely do without. I agree w/ all you have said here. You are dead on w/ this review. I find this fragrance sophisticated masculine (right on w/ the term metrosexual) , it doesn't smell like lipstick to me at all, it is very versatile (not just for formal settings like many reviewers have stated), it can be worn all year around (performs well and goes along with any temperature and weather), and it is more complex than DPHI (which is a jewel but simpler compared to this one and smells to me a little more feminine....still unisex but border lining feminine...in fact, I thin some women can pull off DPHI). It is just magical, intoxicating, and attractive in any setting and occasion. This will be forever in my collection so long Dior doesn't screw it up. I'm wearing niche fragrances most of the time now...but this one is the go-to when I want a reprieve from the niche ones...perhaps it is because if it wasn't for the name "Dior", it would pass for a niche fragrance.

Please, I'm in a big dilemma: Which one should i purchase DH or DHI? i barely see differences between them except maybe I might smell DH slighty more chocolaty and DHI sillage and longevity are better. I've no idea what changed about DHI from its last reformulation.

Yeah man this is a great one... However... If you don't like the Ambrette in the current version of DHI make sure you check out that vintage DHI that I sent you guys a while ago and tell me if you like that any better... I think the Vintage DHI is just so good and personally I like it even more then vintage DH... Also I get a bright cardamom (the same cardamom I get from Frapin L`Humaniste) from the heart of vintage DH and it is sadly missing from the reform... :^( Great review as always gang... ^_^

I found a bottle of DH in my city, and that is very unusual. I have never seen one before in any of the big stores here. They have a few 50ml bottles is in a small store, but they don't have a tester. Should I blind buy it? The only reference I have is I own Dior Homme Eau for men and I love it. Would I love this one? Thank you.

I'm torn on the fragrance. When I try to sample it, either I'm like "WOW, this stuff is classy and full of awesome sauce!" or "OMG! Old lady make up.".

i am sooo confused...ive had a 1.7 oz bottle of dior homme for about a month and a half...it has a silver stem so i was like OMG!!.i lyckwd up and got a original formulation!!..yet when i checked the (batch code)-6f01 it said it was made in 2016??..i was like huh??..hows thet possible?..it was pyrchased from a reputable dealer so im 100 percent sure its not fake..ice watched videos on fakes and mine had all the signs of the real deal...as i said im sooo cobfused please help?

omg i tried this and it smells exactly like a compact of cream foundation that my mother wore when i was a child. more specifically the foam/sponge applicator .......gross. i cant imagine a man wearing this.....ever......i got mild woods for about 30 min. then back to mom stench........should have watched this first... don't understand the hype. to each his own.

This is a lame scent guys, Such a blah fragrance with no strength at all. It smells like clay with a touch of chocolate protein shake. I guess down south smelling like chocolate clay gives you a air of superiority. Really guys it's not the worst fragrance but come on. You guys can't be serious, i feel bad for the people that watch this video then go out and blind buy this. It's modern alright far from perfection
