The EDT is such a beautiful perfume. I don’t understand why other vloggers prefer Poison Girl. Hypnotic poison is much more sophisticated and runs circles around Poison Girl.

Great review! I bought the EdT back in 98 and LOOVED it - it was a man eater fragrance and absolutely beast mode. I haven’t smelled it in a very long time but I’m tempted to get one after this. Oh and the EdP.. super intrigued.

The first one is still in my heart, since I first smelled it in 1998 and I still look for this fragrance everywhere. I've tried both eau de toilette and eau de parfum and I still adore the original especially in the winter. ❤️

HP EDT is the first perfume I ever got a second bottle of...and in the 3.4oz! ^_^ I think I smelled the EDP when it first came out, not realizing it was a flanker at the time. I recently bought the EDP and, yes, they are very different but I love them both!

I've only tried the edp and I love it. I've never been bothered by thicker or even dirtier perfumes. LOL I'm still undecided if I will add it to my small perfume collection that I am determined to keep small. Thank you for the review.

I bought hypnotic poison edt this aug for my bday. And I love it so much. It’s definitely a sophisticated, dark fragrance and less is more. One spray is enough to last at least 5 hours.

i've yet to find ANYTHING that comes close to hypnotic poison edt. i got the edp and I love it too. nothing in the fragrance industry (designer at least) appeals to me. but then again there's so much memory and emotions attached to it over the years!

HP is a late love of mine. At its release I couldn't stand it. Times changed, now I adore it. Today I bought the Elixier version of it, the EdP is also on its way. Thank you for your review, I enjoyed every minute!

I got eau sensuelle and to me this fragrance is a jewel…Better than the original to my nose. That orchid note in there is just fantastic! I’m glad I got a full bottle of this scent before it was completely disappeared this scent is just gorgeous!

I love Hypnotic Poison EDT …I could just sniff it all day long, that bitter almond and playdough smell it’s just addictive. By the way can anyone let me know if Dior used to write the ingredients on the back of their old version testers? Thanks

Hypnotic Poison EDT is my my signature around this time of year in to winter. I love the EDP but there's something about the EDT that's just perfection. It's stunning. I also love Dior Addict; that's another autumn/winter signature. (I wish YSL would bring back the original Nu on the circular bottle, then my life would be complete). FYI Deep Vanilla by Zara is pretty good affordable dupe or HP EDT

I don’t like it when a perfume comes out with a flanker that has the words sensual or intense but it ends up being a fresh version doesn’t make sense to me. Not that I wouldn’t think it’s good, but call it fresh instead of sensual or intense 🤷‍♀️ however, having said that, Dior is one of my favorite perfume houses. The original EDT is probably my favorite too but I’d love to get the EDP as well. ❤️

Is your Hypnotic poison EDT from before 2010? My mom had one around 2008 or 2009 that was so long lasting and 2 sprays was enough for me. I could also smell it in college a girl would wear this and walk by and the scent would carry on. When I purchased it for myself sometime in 2011-2012 I found that mine was just not strong at all. I have to spray like 10 times and even then it’s gone in just a few hours. I know that it was reformulated but I wonder am I the only one feeling this is a weaker formula than before? I’m looking to buy the lotion to help it because I really do love this but I get frustrated that either I’m becoming nose blind to it or that I have a weak formula.

@Yasna I have a bottle from 2014 and it's longevity and projection is fantastic! I went into ulta this week and sprayed the new formulation and it is much more watered down and not as strong at all!

Hypnotic poison edt and edp have been reformulated a couple of years ago. Only new versions are sold in offline shops in my country, Asia, and I couldn't get at first why people can smell some notes I couldn't. It's now a shadow...

I loved this perfume when I first tried it and was hooked instantly, but very disappointing lasting power for a brand like Dior. Then I bought gaipure and silk didn’t smell exactly the same but similar, and it was longer lasting. Then I bought confetto by profumum Roma it has longer lasting power indeed and smells exactly the same shame it’s rather £££. (:

I love Hypnotic Poison EDT (have been wearing it on and off for 17 years) but I purchased it just after Christmas and have sadly discovered it has been reformulated. It is a ghost of its former self 😔 it used to be more play doh scented which I really love. Have you noticed any differences?

Yes, I bought it earlier this year and was very disappointed with the longevity. It literally lasts around 1 - 1.5 hours on my skin! :-(

@@mohammedsherif2100 I'm so disappointed too. I wish brands gave a warning before a reformulation so you could stock up on your favourites! This may put me off purchasing it in the future (although I've worn it for years) as I can't justify the price - I get similar longevity to you but can slightly smell it on my jumper 😞

Wow! I counted 23 HypnoticPoisons on Fragrantica , I didn’t know it was so many. Never was impressed with the smell and It’s kind of expensive too. I have enough with all my Mugler’s.
