@@turnip8749 nah girl the dior lip tints have gorgeous color, the backstage glow palettes are gorgeous and pigmented, the pink version of this blush is subtle but shows up if you pack on enough (although I will only wear mine over the tower 28 cream blush in the same color). Diorshow mascara is iconic and gorgeous, definitely not subtle. stop defending this money grab. the blush is acceptable, the lip products are absolutely unacceptable. I don't get why they wouldn't have made a lilac in their beautiful lip tint formula? It was one of my favorite lip stain formulas until rare beauty. I would actually have bought the blush if they came out with a lilac lip tint to go with it.
None of it comes out lilac. It’s either so sheer that it’s basically clear or it comes off as a pink. I don’t really understand why this collection was made.
It just looks like a cool bright pink on. Kind of expected that bc this line is made for the everyday makeup user and lilac isn’t typically a color jn that palette
Right?! I don’t understand why so many makeup influencers think lilac is unflattering. It’s SO flattering on so many people! Lilac is my fave and I never find it in makeup it’s SO frustrating. Some companies make shades that are close to it but never quite right.
@@roxycocksey Who thinks its unflattering? No one is complaining about it. It would be flattering if it showed up... Lawless has a lilac lip gloss in "violet bloom" that actually shows up.
Uhh I like it! And there is pigment!!! Dior is for suttle makeup so pigment is not there number 1 priority. I can see it well so I dunno what you’re talking about!? I think Dior did a great job for this interesting collection!!! 😊❤
@@audriiiiroberts3030 maybe it's not pigmented enough, then? Even if it appears somewhat different because of the skin tone, it should still look distinctly purple, as opposed to pink. Everyone has a different natural lip colour, but when I put a pinky red on my lips or a brownish red, guess what, they still appear either pinky or brownish red regardless because of the high pigmentation. 😅
@@an_impasse products like this are meant to be sheer c: there’s lots of different purple hued products, meant to translate pink on warm skin tones. Hopefully that explains things better 💖
Lilac with ACTUAL pigment is incredibly flattering on my olive skin, I won't bother because clearly there is NO pigment. Dior doesn't serve, in my humble opinion. It's literally JUST a name.
Yall be hyping anything that these brands come out with😭 looks mehh and would never be able to tell if someone was wearing dollar store gloss or this one bahaha
I don't like how influencers exaggerate things that are not worthy. In my opinion, the product is less than normal because it is compared to its very expensive price for just lip oil or blush. The color was supposed to be much better and stronger than this. I mean, I can get the same result and even better with cheaper products.
@@ShahW yeah i meant medium skin tones. my bad that was unintentionally messed up and I'm going to edit the comment, thank you for pointing that out. i'm embarrassed I typed that without realizing ugh.
@@MorganTurnerMakeup or how about.. using a makeup wipe to take away your foundation lips because literally the only lip product we see is the lip liner.
That shade, pink lilac, it sold out in so many stores. It’s gorgeous. Especially the blush. It’s a perfect alternative to plain pink & looks very different to rosy glow in pink.
@@Sarah.Barah. I'm sure the blush will look beautiful on you (saw a fair girl on tiktok and the blush actually looked amazing on her) but please don't waste money on these pigment-less lip products! They just seem like a money grab. I'm positive I can recommend some cheaper options that will look WAY better!
@@Sarah.Barah. I'd recommend Lawless "Forget the Filler Lip Gloss" in Lavender sorbet or violet bloom (this shade is more pigmented but I think it would look beautiful if you blotted it, paired with these lilac dior blush)
i’m also trying to be better about dnf-ing books & it’s been so helpful with avoid falling into a slump! ‘butter’ is high on my list of books i want to read so excited you enjoyed it. and also!! that library looks so beautiful!!!
I'm fifty years old. I was doing the lilac thing of how it is being done today 30+ years ago. I've been experimenting with makeup since I was fifteen. I would buy a makeup product and always use it differently from how it was advertised and still do.
Actually I naturally have darker blonde hair and grey eyes and I love lilac (and mauve) colored products! I naturally have a purple tinge to my lips so they actually suit me better than light pink glosses that sometimes mix weirdly with my natural lip color. I am neutral-cool toned and really like lilac blushes as well! I think it’s worth trying regardless of hair color/eye color. Makeup is very nuanced for every single person.
Everyone is complaining about the lack of pigment, but its not the purpose of thoa collection. Its ment to be soft, efordless and summery. Personally I like it
Revlon did a lilac cream lipgloss that was so beautiful and close to the same time MAC released a lilac cream sheen lip glass that so nice … that was 10+ years ago lol
😍😱 this is my DREAM collection. I’ve been wishing and praying to the makeup gods for more lilac stuff 😥 I have a lilac blush that I use every day and it is the most flattering shade on me I’m just obsessed and I’ve been DYING for a lilac sheer lip products for years since my old faves got discontinued. I promised I wouldn’t spend money on makeup right now but sh!t… I might have to get that gloss 😭
I am happy that I found this video. I have been struggling with myself whether to buy this product or not. However, after watching the video, I don't think I need this product anymore. Unless you collect such products, I don't think it's necessary to have it if you already have similar pink products. Nevertheless, I appreciate your hard work in making this video. You are a beautiful young lady, and these Dior products look stunning on you. 😊
