I have the medium version of this bag and love it!! I don’t find it heavy as one commenter said. It fits everything I need but still looks sleek and stylish. I have both the Lady Dior (in a small red) and the Lady D-Joy (in a medium purple) and prefer the D-Joy for it’s flexibility with carrying by the handles, the small strap, and the crossbody strap. I just love it!! 😍💯❤️
The color is called mulberry and it’s in the cannage lamb skin. It’s a deep gorgeous purple that I got in January of this year, 2024. It works with so many outfits and is such a fun pop of color! Same with the red!
I couldn’t agree more with your points! I have the medium size and the only con in my experience is how heavy the bag becomes after fitting all your bits and bobs, which leads me to prefer the crossbody strap over the other options. Id love to add a cute micro or small lady d-joy to my collection one day so I can actually use the shoulder strap and top handle options more comfortably 😆
(I guess the grass isn't always greener🤣) I didn't even think about the weight of the Medium size when you fill it, but that makes total sense! Dior keeps coming out with some really pretty colors in the Lady D Joys, so I'm sure you'll find a Small or Micro that catches your eye for a nice alternative to your Medium 😀✨
Love your thorough reviews! I'm planning to treat myself to the black for my birthday. I saw on another review that they had indentations on the flap from the top handle hardware rubbing against it. Have you noticed that in your own bag and do you have any tips for avoiding that? Thank you so much!
GREAT question. I have not noticed that on this one, but I know exactly what you're talking about (I see that a little bit on my other Lady Diors). The only difference in how I store this one vs. my others is I keep the piece of felt over top of the flap (it came in the original wrapping of the bag) when I'm not using it and so the metal rings press into that vs. directly into the flap. I also don't overstuff the bag when I'm using it, so the flap isn't pressing against those rings more than they need to. The flap is lambskin, so there is a bit of mindfulness needed to not scratch it and I am careful; however, I’m not overly cautious with it or at least, I don’t overthink it (it could be because I have short nails though).
I bought the same bag in the latte color last week.. ordered 2 of the same mitzah to cover the handles.. but its kinda ugly w/2 mitzah. It’s my first light colored bag.. most of my bags are in darker colors. Do you wear denim when using this bag?
I wear denim all the time but when I use this bag, I use either the shorter strap or the top handles and that helps to keep the bag from rubbing against my pants (if I were to use the longer strap). You could always try 1 mitzah and alternate it from one handle to the other (I’m right there with you on using 2/ it’s a bit much on such a small bag). I think you’ll be surprised with how the handles wear - enjoy your new bag 😀✨
You definitely can't go wrong with black, but I understand your hesitation with Spring/Summer use. Have you thought about other colors (seasonal or neutral)? There's a pretty powder pink available right now that could work year round.
