Yay for going back to shorties! So much more functional and I think shorties are still CUTE. I respect girls that make the claws work, but I need to type/play piano/not injure myself 😂
You definitely nailed it! The colors are so pretty, that green is gorgeous on it’s own but with the alcohol inks - WOW! Even with your shorties you nails don’t look short!
Marla thank you for recreating this for me! I have been watching you and learned so much from you over the years! I started my nail journey during lock down after ordering a dip powder set from Revel. I watched several of your earlier videos to learn the basics and now use nail day as self care and my hobby. When you chose my suggestion to recreate I was so excited. I called my daughter and told her! Thanks again for nailing the recreate.
Love this! Beautiful color. Watching you do your nails is like my zen haha. Sometimes when I have the urge to do mine but am not ready to change them yet, I watch your videos and feel like I got my fix 😅. Curious to know if you do your own pedicures also? Would you ever consider posting a video if you do? Would love some tips and tricks from my fave DIYer 😘
Thank you for this Marla! So pretty! I feel like there must be a story somewhere about your new thumb tattoo that I missed and now I want to know the story 😂 it’s been a while since I’ve watched! 🤩
There is!! I was diagnosed with panic disorder and GAD last year. I got the tattoo (which a symbol for mental health awareness) as a reminder that I’m stronger than my anxiety. It helps me every day!
@@MarlaKris I had no idea what it symbolized. Thank you for sharing! You are a strong woman and I thoroughly enjoy your content. In fact, I can’t watch anyone else, it gets too boring. 😂 thank you! ❤️
I wanted a set with alcohol inks. You read my mind lol. These are pretty. Question: would floating gel top coat over the inked nails work? I don't have a smudge-free one.
I haven't tried dip powder before. How difficult is it to remove? Does it last any longer than gel when using the peel off base? Beautifully done by the way.
Thank you! Yes, with the peel base, I can only get a day or two wear. Without the peel base, I could get up to 3 weeks! Here’s my removal video for you to check out. It’s pretty simple and quick! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7_qol2mWq88.htmlsi=F7MJcUnwUNLNzyFg
Nailed it!! I love it and can't wait to try it! Hey question tho about the purtato lamp...I bought one, thanks to you 🤣...ummm, do I need to remove that blue film layer on the bottom where your hand lays in the light? Is that just a protectant or should it come off?
Yes! Thats just a protective film and def remove it! You’re not gonna hurt anything by leaving it on BUT part of the job of the reflective bottom is to bounce the light under the nail so it cures more evenly and efficiently, so you’ll def want to remove the film.
Question on lamps. You have mentioned 48 W numerous times. I purchased my first lamp at the recommendation of a RU-vidr I follow. She is not a nail expert but I trust her recommendations. The lamp is 24 W. It's been working well for gel polish. Anything I should watch out for?
Ok so here’s my rec - take a plastic baggy. Apply gel polish to the baggy in a small swatch. Cure it just as you would if it were on your nails. When you remove it from the lamp, lift off the swatch of gel with tweezers (no skin contact!) and see if it’s completely cured all the way through. If it’s not, that lamp isn’t working for your gels and you likely need a stronger one. I use this test on EVERY lamp I use to ensure gels are cured 100%. You’ll know if it’s not completely cured if the gel is at all still gel-like. It should be a completely solid swatch strip if it’s completely cured. Hope this helps!
Yep acetone works perfectly! Here’s my removal video - it’s super quick! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7_qol2mWq88.htmlsi=uqp2RKrAbM8fA43o
