Dipa's demeanor reminds me so much of Simone Biles. I'm glad that she got to train with the Seniors when she was little. I see many little girls that are so good but get passed over by the coaches.
That was actually pretty good.. as mentioned some more flexibility needed but good routine composition with skills she can do well. Nothing looks too hard for her or out of place.. 12.866 was a bit stingy perhaps
Abraham Lora I believe she lost credit for the Pike, leaving her with the front tuck. Is obvious she lacs flexibility so her leaps weren't credited. The score was fair. But she gets a ton of rrspect for being self taught for years, and maybe now that India is finding and there is a "team " It will help
Devendra Yadav not likely, but she could potentially win a bronze on vault if she can manage to put her produnova vault to her feet rather than her butt. The other apparatus are a bit rough for her-she needs to work on her flexibility, form/technique and pointing her toes rather than flexing her feet. That doesn’t at all take away from what she was able to accomplish-earning a spot at the Olympics and a fourth place finish in the vault final by such a narrow margin from third place, and honestly should’ve been third, because Paseka’s form on vault is hideous and overscored!
She is a star athlete in India, and the best gymnast ever. Because of her gymnastics is gaining popularity. She was given the highest sporting award of the country. Sadly she missed the Tokyo olympics.
