Yes, those were the times when music was still made by musicians. I am grateful to have grown up in this creative times.

Mark is one of the best guitar players of all times. And his voice is legendary and truly amazing. I am 63 and i ve been your fan since I was 20. No other band has come even close to what you have produced.

Hearing/seeing this in concert was such a total physical experience - you are body-slammed with sound and visual effects. In a magnificent way. Was lucky to have seen them perform this live twice and will never forget how it felt to be in the middle of all of this marvelous music.

Best would be to see the concert remastered in a cinema

I don't think there will ever be another guitarist and songwriter "dancing in Mark Knopfler's shoes", no matter how hard they try. And, how come he's always even greater performing live? Great song, great live version.

Just feel the suspense, anxiety and fear introduced by the slow repetitive bass line that Mark Knopfler communicates with this song. It's simply amazing and a great work of art! Everything slowly builds up in a few minutes, then culminates with Jack's distorted guitar entry and then slowly recedes...

My first time hearing it was on a mono radio over Luxembourg Radio - I was so impressed I went out as soon as it arrived in Denmark and bought the album - I still think it is way too short - it could easily have been much longer and still be as good. But now I just have to hear it over and over when ever I come across it. 🤭

Brilliant performance of a brilliant song

I saw them in Deeside, UK in 1985 on the same tour. The best performance of anyone I have seen. The lighting was superb. I will never forget it. Mark is still a fantastic guitarist and his solo music now is excellent.

He could teach the best teachers a thing or twenty... and absolute guitar god, and a wizard lyricist. My but how today's so-called musical 'artists' sound like crap when compared with stuff like this... I had the privilege of seeing the live, just once, before Dire Straits dissolved... truly memorable

(SORRY FOR MY BROKEN ENGLISH) As a middle school literature teacher (in Italy), I think that this song is something we should teach at school just like teaching the classic, traditional poetry we find in every anthology. Not all songs are poetry, but many songs by Mark Knofpler are: Telegraph Road, Tunnel Of Love, Privateering, Madame Geneva's and many others...Private Investigations is one of that songs/poems you can study on many levels: literary, metaphoric and didactic-moral. And we all can find something we experienced in our life: a loss, a broken love story, a concern, a mistake, loneliness... Not to mention Mark Knopfler's music and guitar: pure magic! 🤩 This is a universal masterwork.

Perfect timing, I've been smashing Love Over Gold album recently.

I think I was at this Wembley gig. I used to work nearby & a bunch of us went from work went to see many bands at the Arena & the Stadium. Been a DS fan from their earliest days to this.

👍🎶 I so wish for the entire Wembley '85 concert to be restored and posted on Dire Straits channel, especially since it couldn't be included in the Live Box Set. It's such an iconic concert. Every song being a masterful performancel. Separate videos could never render the same experience and feeling as a concert in full, with Mark's presentations etc. Amazing MK & DS! ❤ & 🙏 Always
