Direct Drive VS Belt Drive - ONSRA Challenger 

Seen plenty but most videos are made by Fabi or his employee. The other youtubers want to keep having boards sent to them so...This one is 1700 dollars for the belt, made out of a painted stiff wooden plank, rather than carbon. Generic cheap Chinese trucks used by all the others at lower prices. HW ESC and remote are cheap and used by boards half the price. The support is not like said service stations/shops but a handful of people answering emails just like the Chinese brands. The battery cells used are very low current output which will make both these boards lacking in power and strain the battery pack. Fabi has been caught lying about the boards several times, said in a video that the challenger weighs like the competitor (Stoke) like 8 kilos but it weighs 98, kilos. The motors of the direct drive was giving 6000 watts which he has changed now to 2x1300 watts which the battery cannot give long term. Not even close. He lied about charging time which Daniel Kwan pointed out and got the answer that he assumed people would not run the board to fully empty. One RU-vidr said Fabi had promised the back of the kicktail would get some sort of protection. It has not. @@linaandersson5815 Thanks for your time. I've not ridden any electric skateboards. My knowledge is all theoritical.Looks like AVE is not happy with the battery performance . I wish he spoke to Onsra customer care about DD , cloud wheels combination & it's drop in performance.! All products will be criticized. @@krishnansrinivasan830 I wish you good luck whatever you decide to go with. No need to talk to Fabi at Onsra. He has made his decision to make more money with cheaper cells and parts You will get the same specs and parts at half price from the Chinese companies. Onsra buys their boards from there and sell at twice the price as premium.I do know a whole lot about this, hardware as well as business side.

@@fishermans1friend Since I have used and experienced Evolve real support I do not need an alternative but all things considered I would go with the Lycaon TRX 3.0. Bit too little concave for some and battery not huge which I like for two reasons; makes the board less thick and more sleek and weight much less than the Meepo. I do not need this range and prefer less weight and less fat board. I go flat out pretty much on 107 mm Abecs to my friend, 18 km, and have about 50% left on my GTR, if I am apprehensive about range for going back I bring my charger. But, each to their own. Cheers

Belt drive is not difficult to maintain. DD means less torque off the line and having to use huge wheels not to damage the motors.

Did you end up getting a direct drive board ? If yes, any issues ? Do the motors get smashed every single time you ride over a pothole or transition over a curb ?

1700 dollars for a rock hard painted wooden deck and generic cheap Chinese parts? You get the same parts at half price from the Chinese companies and in terms of support you get the same email support.

@@linaandersson5815 clearly you dont know how expensive batteries, ESC's, remotes, wheels, and motors are. building a board like this from scratch is going to cost you 1,5K~ minimum. these are not "cheap parts". almost every individual part of this board costs over a hundred bucks

Strangely enough you have no clue. Verreal RS is the same cheap invention. Same generic trucks HW ESC and remote. Also using a non flex stiff wooden board and stiff battery/enclosure. Backfire hammer for instance has more power and flexy deck at a lower price. Fabi uses the cheapest parts on the market and the 2,5 A charger is a joke for this priced board in 2022. I do know the prices of much better performing DIY parts.

Definitely Challenger Belt. Has a lot of torque and the 105mm wheels are able to slide pretty good 👍🏼

Skinny fat? Makes you look the same build but the one with more muscle will weight significant heavier
