Direct Online Starter / DOL Wiring with Indicator Lamps Explained.
#DOL_starter or #Direct_online_starter connects the motor directly on to the incoming power supply without any reduction in supply voltage.
Generally an #induction_motor draws fairly high amount of current when starting.
Therefore, the #DOL_starter_connection is generally there, to use with induction motors up to 5 horsepower (4 kW) only.
