**"In this video, we explore the Directive Principles of State Policy (DPSP) in the Indian Constitution. Found in Part IV (Articles 36-51), DPSPs are non-justiciable guidelines that aim to direct the state in creating laws for social and economic welfare. Although not enforceable by the courts, they form the foundation for India's welfare state and guide policy-making.
We will discuss the classification of DPSPs-socialist, Gandhian, and liberal-along with their significance and how they impact governance. We will also look at landmark amendments and cases that shaped the interpretation of DPSPs, such as the Kesavananda Bharati case and the 42nd Amendment.
