Lynch is the director of several critically acclaimed films, including "Eraserhead," "The Elephant Man," "Dune" and "Blue Velvet." He is also the creator of the popular but short-lived TV series, "Twin Peaks." Lynch has published a book of photographs of his movies and his art, called "Images."

david saying at the end that his interest never sticks with things is something i relate to as an artist. man! but thats what makes the things that do stick so sweet when they finally come together

Great interview thank you for posting! It’s funny to hear Terry try to draw straight lines between David’s thoughts and processes and the finished products. I’m glad David gave some resistance on this because I don’t think everything can be laid out so simply, much as we often wish it could be. David’s work shines so bright because it doesn’t just draw straight lines between things, it forces you to address the absurdity of the lives we all live.

I almost jumped out of my socks when I heard the words "Part of what it's about" (in relation to Eraserhead, let alone any of his works) cross Mr. Lynch's lips, lol. ;)

We find ourselves in these bodies...lynch always has an interesting way of putting obvious things, which is what makes him a great, American artist

Personally I saw Eraserhead as a comedy, and much of it about the most hilarious writing and execution of in all of cinema. That scene where Mrs X confronts Henry for instance...
