Let it be known that Amber Lee Conners is an ADG (Dubbing) Director herself, and has founded an entire dubbing studio. She probably knows and has lived the troubles Furina encounters here firsthand
Every time that I think Amber Lee Connors (Furina's English VA) can't impress me more than she already has, she does just that and goes further. That flabbergasted "What did you say!?" was exquisite. :D
I love that she said she loves the birds chirping in the morning more than she likes being called Director. She can act as stern as she wants but she's such a gentle soul on the inside 😭
The anger is understandable. Everyone wanted a proper end to Furina's character in her Story Quest. But instead they only see the Traveler and Paimon being rude to Furina and forcing her back on stage eventhough she didn't want to initially.
The beginning of her quest was very jarring. Furina has a terrible, horrible, very bad day in the final act of Fortaine Archon quest, gets one small scene and no dialogue after the prophesy has been fulfilled. She gets no closure, apologies or gratitude on screen. And then immediately after that Paimon and Traveler appear because they need a favor from her and Paimon makes fun of her living conditions. It's implied that some time has passed but it doesn't feel like it. The quest could start with them visiting Furina to check up on her, chatting with her a little, then meeting the theater group and accepting their commission.
Furina indeed needs a push, but not that kind of aggressive insensitive push that the quest showed us, it could be written better! That's the true reason why some players are mad.
@@nguyenthidieuanh1640 how was it aggressive or insensitive? Traveler and Paimon just went to Furina's house, asked her if she wanted to join the play, she refused and talked about the boundary she had set, and then they left. The only reason the Traveler later pulled Furina into the play was because she was clearly interested in helping in some way (she was spying on the conversation), and later on she decided to act in the play because the main actress couldn't do it. The only thing that was "forced" upon her was her name being mentioned after the play, which was a decision made by everyone in the group.
