Director Reacts - NEXZ - 'Ride the Vibe' MV 

I think the mv is showing them just being teenagers having fun, being rowdy, playing around, being the youths that they are. The answer is in the lyrics itself where they talk about riding the vibe, basically going with the flow which is exactly what they're doing in the mv - just following their feelings; their excitement, happiness, fear (the pool scene where they jump off) etc. I understood their mv though i get that it does confuse people if they don't read the lyrics. I feel that you can't just watch the mv without understanding the meaning of a song. Kinda defeat the purpose of a song. Interestingly, the trailer to this mv is very different in contrast (you'd be even more confuse, i did too 😂) In the trailer it was more of them finding the vibe. In this mv, they already are riding the vibe. Also the part where the 2 kids appeared didn't really suggested they supported them being delinquents. They're just sitting there copying one of the member's dance move as mentioned in their behind the scenes. Appreciate your honest reaction! I do wish you commented on other details like the cool transitions, the choice of locations etc from a director's pov too. They have pre-release song "Miracle" and a B-side song "Starlight" which are way different than this. Do check them out and support NEXZ!

In this video there are just teenagers who felt like adults and free. Not all videos should contain some deep meaning, much less a political message. Let at least these guys sing about what they can feel, about what they really understand now.

Your analysis about the storyline of the mv is actually interesting, I'm one of their fans as I followed them and their journey since their survival shows, most of us didn't really understand the concept or the storyline behind the mv, but one of the members told us in a behind the scenes video while shooting the mv that it's mainly about the teenage youth phase, maybe there are other concepts or storylines that aren't known yet and they will explore it in their comebacks, if you watched their ride the vibe Trailer Video and their trailer of their bside song Starlight, you will find it very interesting and strange because it's a whole different concept in those trailers, so I'm not sure if this debut concept was just a simple concept they wanted to try out and they have other storylines in their other songs or maybe as someone said in your discord chat, maybe they haven't found their lore and sound yet, and this is just experimental, we will never know until they drop a few comebacks. But u have to listen to their pre debut single song, it's called miracle and it has a performance video, the people who didn't like this song liked miracle and their bside song starlight, so check these out

Like the members. Like their moves. Like their vocals - definitely have potential. Very slick for a debut release but it feels like it's so K-typical. The song too didn't exactly grab my attention. Thanks for sharing your honest thoughts on the video. While I appreciate the movie-inspired concept, I feel this MV didn't fully showcase their talents as a world debut. Their recent Japan debut MV "Keep on Moving" has a concept that is easier to digest but but I believe there's still room for them to demonstrate their full potential. I really want these guys to be supported. But I honestly feel like the lyrics are intended for an older artist/group. And having said that, having the 2 little ones cheer them on is sad to me. I REALLY hope it’s just basis for their lore to show growth. And not that the company is going to play them as punks/bad boys. AND… Having said that… these guys are truly talented. I guess I just feel like it was wasted here.
