RM is GOAT, nobody does it like him. His brain is wired differently. He sets the bar so high, that some fear that, so they avoid him. He deserves much much more love than what army gives him. He is the reason why BTS is cut above other groups, his influence in their discography is not known to many.

In their In the Soop season 1, Jin tells Yoongi "what's the point of regretting things that are in the past?" There is so much wisdom among the members of BTS, and that's why they are the group that they are.

Thank you for this reaction, Roscoe, and for your insightful comments. I love how you meander on to a totally different topic every now and again - take it from me, those digressions made sense and enriched the discussion. OMG, Hues Corporation - we danced to "Rock the Boat" at parties! So totally in favour of your idea and hope it happens. Jimi Hendrix was a bit ahead of my generation and by the time I was old enough to think about music, he was dead. All I remember of him was his rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" and that he played the guitar with his teeth. And that he opened for the Monkees during their tour of the U.S. - rather a disaster, because the Monkees' young fans were not at the frame of mind to appreciate his music. Love this video, love the way RM breaks down his album; and the appearances from the artists that helped him put it all together. "Indigo" is a classic that will be treasured by his fans now and will be discovered and re-discovered by fans for years to come. In much the same way that I will re-watch this video to spot the things I missed the first time around.

Deep dive…connotes many things. Do you think that perhaps we as an audience have become more discerning in our tastes? Is it because we have matured and no longer wish to ascribe to the cultures of the musical tastes of the past by bowing to the marketing campaigns that promote a (dare I say) more 😮shallow approach. Such as;, melodic phrasing that is pleasing to the ear but lacks substance in its lyrical content? Or perhaps the artistes are now following their true creative sides instead of allowing past mores of the music industry to dictate the direction. It’s interesting to consider the complexities of todays musical tastes of the masses. I believe its a combination of both the artistes and the audience demanding more from each other, raising the bar as it were where, satisfaction can be obtained in both of our listening pleasure. Food for thought!

INDIGO is greater than the sum of its parts. Using collaborations RM has created that elusive something new. I firmly believe this will become a cult classic. I do not believe it is really appreciated enough as a representitive of this confusing troubled decade we have just lived through. For instance LONELY is my perfect lockdown song. CLOSER speaks to the difficulties of forming lasting relationships in our increasingly peripatetic society. CHANGE my most surprising favourite on the album made me snort and smile, and realise how fearless RM is when it comes to music. WILDFLOWER mirrors societies present focus on identity. It just goes on. Like all great artists by honest introspection they also mirror the time they live in. I bought this CD to add to my carefully curated collection. I believe in this album and during the course of my long life I have learned to trust my instincts. Its why I am able to openly declare that if you havent bought this in a physical form you slipped up. As for BTS their greatest point of difference is their depth of content paired with their ability to perfectly collaborate with each other and other artists. RM as leader will always sacrifice his personal needs for the cohesive artistic vision of the group. Perhaps more so than any other individual member of BTS.

I always say I'm 90s even tho I was born in 80s, '81...but my pop culture is 90s as before I grew up in a harsh dictatorship, almost 0 anything from outside the country... In this send every much like South Korea, same discovery of music with music videos from MTV (and VH1 British I think) but as you said.. MJ, Guns n roses, Nirvana, Mariah, Withney , Tina... 2Pac 😂really I was listening to All kind of music in the 90s.. My teen years

I loved this interview. To go through each song and the inspiration behind them is fascinating . The diverse collabs on this album are fantastic. It was so personal. I am all about the homework maybe that's why identify with the curious crow, I want to see behind the curtain and understand the mindset. My Dude the deep conversations are why most of us are here. The community aspect of the lives is a driving force for the couch. And yeah the pandemic was a major reset for many, a lot of priorities shifted when we were able to get off the hamster (hampster😉) wheel for a minute. I especially see the changes it made in the younger generations and love it.

I was just realizing something... When I was young, we just listned casually to music on the radio, a cd or on tv and did not really pay attention to the lyrics. Now we (ARMY) all sit down to read the English translation of the song and start dissecting the lyrics to find the deeper meaning 🤣 To say it in Joonies' words: Things change, people change, everything change 😅 I still listen to the album often.
