This is my sawhorse build completely inspired by Jimmy Diresta. He is my ideal in makers. I saw many saw horses but only like this build because it will not consume a lot of space. If you are planning to build an assembly workbench than definitely try this sawhorse.You definitely gonna love this.
I made this completely left over from the previous build or recycled from old build which is no longer needed.that's why some of them have holes.
If you like the build then don't forget to drop like, subscribe and share.

Great job!! A question... were the latches necessary to keep the legs from spreading out too far?? It seems that the hinged tops closing together would keep the legs from spreading.... Just curious!! Also, I saw a video of a 'you weld' sawhorse kit and they spread the top pieces the thickeness of a piece of 2X lumber before welding the hinges on. Then when opening up the sawhorses, you drop in a piece of 2X the length of the horse so that you aren't cutting on metal. The same idea as your wood tops just implemented differently. You can then use a 2X4, 2X6 or whatever to raise your work surface higher above the metal saw horse. Of course, in that design, the wood work surface is a separate item you have to keep up with, whereas yours is part of the sawhorse.... Anyway, it is a great video and a great project which I will be copying in the near future!! Thanks!!!

thanks for the kind words ..........................and yes those latches are necessary because when you are placing something over the sawhorses it's obvious that they are spreading outward but when you are dragging something like an 8X4 sheet of plyboard, you observed that the legs tend to close.To stop that movement of legs those latches are necessary.

hi, great job... can i ask why you chose to cut 70 degres?
@ambroscustom
@ambroscustom 5 лет назад
Dear it's because I don't want those lesgs to cover wider area at the bottom. The angle closer to 0° and 90° any of them can be considered for marking. The motive is to offset the legs away from the centre. Suppose you have English letter A, this is how side of the sawhorse look like. You need to make this letter, the more angle you choose for the sides which are meeting at the top, more will be the area covered by the legs and the hight will decrease if you already cut the material and if the angle is less than the hight will increase and the bottom area covered by the legs also decreases. So it's completely depend upon your design. The thing to note here is that if you draw a straight line from tip to the bottom and then this will divide that angle into two parts. Now measure that individual angle and cut that piece. If you didn't get that then you can send me pm. I explain you with pictures. Don't trap between 70°, just pay attention to what I described here. Good luck.

At what angle do you cut these legs because you can not see exactly
@ambroscustom
@ambroscustom 4 года назад
That's a 15deg cut or also be marked as 75deg, both will be correct
