Everyone's talking about Genesis...and I'm just really sad that this is the only time in the game you ever see Red XIII. They REALLY don't like animating his fur.
I just imagine the how to meme, of Cloud's face calling Sephiroth on the phone like "Uh, yeah can you deal with the outdated Gackt, you know that popstar guy, yeah Genesis, the guy who made you go crazy, kthx, seeya soon"
If anybody was wondering Vincent is still immortal even without have Chaos anymore. Hojo mentions earlier in a cutscene that the only reason Vincent was able to house Chaos in the first place was because his experiments gave Vincent an indestructible body. Losing Chaos will not undo Hojo's modifications so he can still transform into Galion along with everything else.
@@edalmirneto4246 he's still imortal he meets red 13 in a novel where he says he'll live long enough to see everyone he loves dies. And Vincent says yeah but you'll join them again, I on the other hand will live forever.
Am I the only one who enjoyed this game? Everyone says it's a bad FF game but to me it's a good mixture of a shooter/rpg, the storyline is good, i enjoy the soundtracks.
Loved my play through of this game, it was a true Final Fantasy experience. I really want the FF7 story to continue, I want to see what becomes of Genesis!
Hey man, it was a good game, I enjoyed it too back in the day. The music, the CGI cutscenes. though I just wished they made the gameplay not quite frustrating, and that Vincent should have more forms, in the future, I wish for 2 things though, 1) if they remake or remaster the game, the gameplay should be revised and Vincent V. can like run on top of the buildings or something(lol) more forms, extras, etc. and the villains were friggin' cool, especially Weiss, they should be playable 2) they can always make this a movie too.
Arvin Jay It would be cool! For me Dirge of Cerberus is the only good thing with Final Fantasy VII in title. But I don't know what to think about makeing Vincent a pedophile :| or maby it doesn't matter as long as child has brain of grown up women :O
Stephen Blum one of the few voice actors that could surpass the Japan voice overs in anime like Cowboy Beebop, Samurai Champloo and Great Teacher Onizuka.
Hope you didn't get too attached because the Remake is on FIRE for only hiring D list actors from bad shows like Riverdale or Teen Wolf because they're cheaper than the professional VAs.
I don’t know which love story is more tragic. Crisis Core: Man goes off on a mission for 4 years, his girlfriend writes him 88 letters and doesn’t realize he’s dead. Original FF7 : the friend of the man who goes off to war, takes his persona and extension his memories only to witness his lover die in front of his very eyes. All the while Tifa has feelings for cloud but it is not reciprocated Because zacks persona is still part of him Or Dirge of Cerberus: Body guard of a scientist end up falling in love with each other, but knows that it cannot last. He loves her from afar and finds out her colleague has gotten her pregnant and worse of all, only got her pregnant because he wanted to literally use her as an experiment. He retaliates and she disowns him for his behavior.
Aeris knew he was alive. She can speak to the planet, as soon as he dies his soul goes into the life stream and she can feel it. She always knew he was alive, just not where he was. Rewatch the final cutscene of crisis core, when it shows you Aeris in the church looking up, she scenes his soul returning to the planet, thats the exact moment she knows he died.
Let's hope that the remake continues what was left on this ending. It would be interesting to include an episode that occurs after three years of VII talking about Genesis's return :)
Wizel Balan For sure, also it would be awesome to play as Cloud and the rest of the party fighting alongside Vincent, against Weiss and Nero and omega, rather then just Vincent. Like in Dirge
I have to say this was the perfect ending to all the amazing story lines of FF7. I especially love Vincent's last words to Lucrecia, it was very sweet. In my opinion, were living in an age where graphics and frame rates per second take priority over the story. As a result many games (and especially anime) end up looking beautiful but have a boring story, unengaging characters, and mind numbing dialogue. But the final fantasy series gives me hope and reminds me that there are still people out there in entertainment who realize that the story and the emotional impact of a game is what will be remembered, not how many combos you can dish out with out getting hit or the realistic visuals of a game (not that those things hurt though ;). I just wish more people realized that.
+Frederick Johnson This is totally unrelated to ff, but if you're looking for an anime with the best graphics and animation yet has characters that you will love and a very interesting story, watch Fate/Zero.
With genesis being the non-perfect sephiroth still alive, the storyline is pretty open still. The guy was dangerous, really dangerous even without a perfected body. The fact that he is still alive by the end of Dirge of Cerberus means that he managed to get a method to fix it (genova cells for sure) making him stand at the same league of Cloud, Sephiroth and Vincent.
I hope they do make at least one more. Let's face it Genesis still leaves and clearly if you take the ending of Advent Children as foreshadowing, Sephiroth isn't truly dead yet so who knows.
At the Ending me so: "Thats not Genesis ... or? That can't be Genisis... or? Is that really Genesis? OMFG, that IS him, thats Genesis....! I wish Square Enix would continune that freakin awesome Story..."
what's crazy here is the fact the series feels incomplete with the secret ending but this is about 10+ years old...(although the first to the sequels and prequel was approximately 10+ years between) so it's possible but doesn't look like it just yet... perhaps the remake will uncover this reality
I loved this game, yeah the combat sucked, shit was chaos, but the story. THE STORY was totally what we needed. So much was filled out that was never answered in any of the others, and Vincent definitely needed to tell his story. Though it leaves us with more questions, honesty the plot to FF7 could span so far, like Sephiroth for example could still return, and the dealio with Genesis...
Genesis will continue in crisis core. Actually dirge of Cerberus expands a lot ff7 universe, and also doing very good job going further in storyline after Advent children. If you played all those games u can tell for sure that actually ff7 universe is HUGE !!!
Genesis is actually Gackt, and the one he is carrying it is Weiss he was a soldier that appear right at the end of Crisis Core along with his brother Nero.
The pauses that characters from ff7 take in their speech is one thing that has always bugged me. “Not that I.....mind though” just doesn’t flow. It just sounds awkward and bugs the hell out of me. Advent children was plagued with similar pauses. “I will............never be a memory” being one such line. None of the other games seem to have had such issues. I mean, I get why they’re like this. They used footage that was animated for Japanese instead of English, but I still feel they could’ve done something to keep it from being so awkward. Oh and wtf was up with Genesis’s voice? Unless his body is being possessed by someone else? Now there’s an interesting topic for discussion.
...Yeah I think I prefer Genesis's new voice. Also, I'm reading conflicting reports on the meaning of that last scene, according to Word of God, Genesis has taken it upon himself to be the protector of the planet.... but, that's... not.. really, at all what I get from this scene. In fact I feel more like there's a final battle yet to be fought. And given how this is chronologically the latest event in the FF7 world, and its been effectively 9 years since anything advanced the Compilation further.... Not really getting my hopes up for knowing WTF yo... but hopefully the Remake reinvigorates the desire to 'end' the series.
I remember playing this game I'm a novice when it comes to Final Fantasy but this one I really enjoyed. I love the soundtrack Edge of Time was great and I always love the ending seeing Vincent sacrifice himself was awesome of course he did survive with that ending.
Who is that in that secret ending? I see some saying it's Genesis, and I can understand why. He looks kinda like him. But I don't recall Genesis having that accent. Then again, they could have changed the voice, and he was a one-winged angel. But I'm kinda thinking it's Nero, since he called Weiss his brother. And the black hair kinda matches, along with the accent, kinda. But he doesn't have that thing covering his mouth, which can be argued that he doesn't need it anymore or something. Besides, Sephiroth wasn't the only one-winged angel. Who's to say there can't be more besides him, Genesis, and Angeal?
The DGs are clones of Genesis like the Space Marines are of their genetic parents. In this case the Primarch is either Jenova or Minerva and the chapter master is Genesis, with the Marine being Weiss.
Incorrect, Gackt does not voice Genesis in the English version of DoC. Robin Atkin-Downes actually voices him in this clip and Oliver Quinn voices him in Crisis Core.
This is my first time watching this and I was losing my mind when I saw that infamous red coat with pauldrons. Its none other than Genisis himself! Wtf I killed him 8 years ago playing Crisis Core
So Genesis is a protector now .But he still looks like a bastard in the scene , doesn't look like a protector at all .Will he comeback in the Remake ? If it is the case , hopefully writer won't turn him into a second Sephiroth .
Omg, I loved this game cause I could know more about Vincent. As well the way he understood Cloud’s and Aerith’s story... Oh well, Gackt’s designed has appeared in other game so Genesis looked like him xD
I hope that FF7 Remake will let Lucrecia brak from her Diamond prison and beginn a new Life with Vincent. Not only i am sad for Vincent, but also for Lucrecia. Both deserve happiness and Lucrecia should finally forgive herself, cause Vincent forgave her long ago and he still loves her! Q___Q I know he can have a life with Shelke, cause she has Lucrecias memories and stuff but this is not the same...
@Light and Dark Creations She is remorseful and that is what it counts. She knows she fucket up, she apologized many times while beimg remorseful and put herself into a Diamond cause she cant die with the Jenova cell inside her. Vincent knows that, he forgave her long ago. Also he isnt completely innocent. Being a Turk means also to kill innocent people and do shitty things. Just because we never ser his life as a Turk, that didnt mean he is innocent. Vincent fucket also many times. He could go find Sephiroth and prevent him of turningninto a psychopath. Instead he pout and slept for 30 years cause he couldnt help the love of his life. It is wrong to blame Lucrecia for everything but ignore what Vincent did.
@Light and Dark Creations Yeah we don't know but we saw from different sources, what Turks are doing. Vincent was required to protect Lucrecia but what did he did before his new order to protect her? The first negative thing is the accident that made her insecure and remorseful. Because of this part of her, she did one fault after another. She thought she could forget Vincent by only caring Hojos Baby inside her. That dosen't mean she had sex, as you know, woman can get pregnant without having sex. Many people think she married Hojo or fucked him, but i don't think that Hojo could fuck any woman, because he only thinks on experiments. Anyways, we have to look it positive. Without Lucrecia, Vincent couldn't survive his wounds from Hojo. Lucrecia thought the whole time to rescue incent and her only option at the moment was to put Chaos inside him. Chaos saved him many times during fights. His other 3 Transformation Hojo put inside him, not Lucrecia. Lucrecias only bad thing she ever did, was to put Chaos in Vincent and to not being honest with him, after Gilmores death. She didn't deserve all the hate.
By release date, Crisis Core came after Dirge of Cerberus yes, however, through story plot, Crisis Core came before DoC with Advent Children in between.
If FF7 Remake Part 1 and Part 2 are success in terms of sales, I really hope they would consider of making a sequel FF7 game having Genesis as the main antagonist once again and face Cloud!
What the heck is up with the secret ending??? Genesis doesn't look anything like Tetsuya Nomura's art, like the rest of the game. It looks like a live actor with a weird voice over. Is this the actual secret ending??
yo mama By "after" the remake you mean a whole new game after ff7r? Because the order of the ff7 series is Crisis Core >> FF7 >> FF7:AC >> FF7:Dirge of Cerberus.
Ratoureux yah it will have to be after because Genesis is dormant and isn't dead after all, maybe aerith liifestream with holy materia by accident healed him after the world was saved or he healed on his own bubble
