Poursuivant le rêve de voyager en ballon dirigeable, Jean-Pierre David a conçu l'Aéroplume, un ballon dirigeable individuel à ailes battantes qui permet de s'initier à l'aérostation avec peu d'hélium.

L'objectif principal de cette association, outre la rénovation du Hangar, est de redynamiser ce centre d'aérostation en lui redonnant des activités nouvelles notamment aéronautiques :
base aéroportuaire pour accueillir des dirigeables de tourisme, de transport, des manifestations aériennes, des démonstrations indoor de ballons, dirigeables mus par la force musculaire du pilote, des minis dirigeables radiocommandés, des ateliers pour découvrir l'aérostation, des spectacles...

01:05 Santos Dumont would love to see this scene. A tiny dirigible and the round tiny dirigible that looks like his single place ballon called "Brasil." After making the smallest balloon and the first practical dirigible in the world he did the first airplane flight too. Great man.

That's a beautiful way to fly! I love the silence aspect of hot air balloons but these give you more autonomy with the direction you want to travel in. The best of all worlds.

J'aime beaucoup ce mode de déplacement aérien silencieux et...dirigeable, ce qui serait intéressant c'est de rendre accessible certains refuges de montagne à des personnes à mobilité réduite avec un dirigeable biplace (ou plus). L'idée m'en est venue alors que je me promenais dans le massif pyrénéen du Vignemale.

@@raymondo162 put a paramotor on it and you can direct it to go where you want to. There's video of a man who did just such a thing back in the 90's. It's called The World's Smallest Dirigible, even though it's not really a dirigible, it's a weather balloon.

@@Romin.777 Um, the lift is free..Hindenburg used 800 gal of diesel to cross the Atlantic..airliner uses 8000 to 10,000 gallons..the arithmetic is pretty simple if you care to do it..

So much laidback compared to ultralight planes and paramotors. Much silent and relaxed. But its prone to being swept away even by a light breeze. I think more speed wud be achieved if a paramotor is used as the engine.

@justan idiot exactly this! If something’s piercing your hull it’s strong enough to go trough anyways, ruining the structure made by pressure and if it has a frame it’s something else entirely
