yea ur definitely right. i tell guyd sll the time winning 4-5 chips is incredible and all.....but sometimes its all about that ONE. 4 dirk that ONE meant the world
Shit, I lived in Dallas from 2004 to 2012. Watching Dallas get beat by San Antonio and Miami all those years then finally beat Miami in 2011 was so worth it...It was an amazing ride!
Eh Dallas eliminated SA a couple times in the playoffs :D I remember, cause I was watching MAVS all day at that time :D Those were the best series in the playoffs, so intense!
Damn I almost forgot how Dirk was so difficult to guard back in the day. Seriously... actually for a 7 footer his speed is actually decent not that slow you could see back in the days he was running fast breaks. Also he is so difficult to guard usually he always gets double teamed and the way he drives is just powerful...like unstoppable...it's like when he drives he mixes speed with power by bodying smaller defenders and that's what makes it difficult. People forget and think he is just a shooter but back in the days the dude was a beast in attacking from the inside. And of course he's famous fadeaway very difficult to block since he is leaning. If you even attempt to block it it's risky since you might foul him and if he still makes it then it's a 3 point play. A true legend... nothing but respect for you and he big German.
The crowd groan at 3:52 is one of those small things that define a great player. When the opposing crowd says "oh god, we left HIM open" that says it all.
Til this day I still don’t know how Dirk made that shot over two people and Shaq was one of them. That shot should have won them that game, but instead the got jobbed in that series!! Thanks for the post
Dirk is top three Power Forward (under Timmy and Chuck), best shooting big man ever, best mid range shooter ever, the most loyal franchise player ever, one of the greatest scorer of all time and one of the greatest competitors of all time. Love u Dirk
If we are talking about which ring is more valuable and more hard fought and deserved its Dirk's obviously. He didn't have a cake walk to the finals or the final itself like KD. Durant's rings mean shit the way he got them.
i feel like if he wanted to he could've averaged 35ppg for a career but knew it would hurt the team so instead he chose to be a team player and over come great stacked teams with good team basketball fundamentals. he's a true great, in my opinion top ten player of all time if not top 5.
I'll always remember that And1 against Boston with KG draped ALL over him. KG won't ever admit it, but Dirk was his daddy. That off balanced one legged fade away against Collison and OKC in 2011 WCF was also a legendary crowd silencer.
