The style of this game reminds me of dirt 3. My favourite dirt game!

Nice gameplay footages. Every map has it own atmosphere (it make me feel like I'm there) and the gameplay looks fun like dirt 2 & 3. The hud really remind me of dirt 3.

In some parts it looks like mobile game.

Man I'd once love to have one of these arcade racers in VR... We have lots of sims and simcades but I don't get motion sickness at all so I wanna get thrown around in the Dirt 5 world!

Looks amazing. Slightly bothered by the lack of stage rallies but I’m sure it’ll still be a really good game. More on the stage rallies: yes I know that’s what Dirt Rally is for but the first four DiRT games had it too. Even if they were the really short minute and a half ones you got at the beginning of DiRT 3 I would be extremely happy.

The tracks are just so damn wide. Hard to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings when all you see is the surface you're driving on. I legit could not distinguish the different tracks even after going through several DiRT 5 videos. Every track should have some eye grabbing scenes to make it memorable & different. Otherwise I think it'll get pretty boring real fast. Also, I wonder what they did with the damage model?

Only thing I really liked was the way the mud looked and kicked up off the tires, the leaves blowing across road at night in the headlights. Other than that it looked pretty choppy when camera turned like a Ubisoft game does at like 30fps, a x I’m not a fan of the circuit racing really. I can’t wait till the next Dirt Rally game comes out on next gen!!

Wish it had more track deformation like Sega rally Revo. You would think they would use next generation for that kind of tech.

Can someone reassure me, here? The game is 59.99$ here in canada. The usual price for a new release is 79.99$+ taxes (Around 90$) Is this game going to be like Dirt Rally 2.0 where there is a massive amount of DLC packages?

The Cars doesn't seem to feel all the different... like in Horizon there is a huge difference in driving say a Lancia Delta and a Buggy. This just seems like skins. And the cars also feel very Light almost as if there are made out of paper. Graphics are Crazy Solid, Lighting is Amazing, and Weather effects Terran and muds..etc wow.

only thing missing is the dakar style rally trucks race

Will there still be proper rally stages or just this rally cross stuff. I love the realistic feel of dirt 2 and the narrow winding and very challenging roads. Its gonna suck if we lose another game franchise to arcady physics and easy simple roads. Also wtf are these graphics. They aren't "bad" but dirt 2 and 3 looked much better. Maybe not as colorful but more realistic.

This is not a rally game... This is more like an off-road racing game. Every Dirt game except showdown had rally in it, what happened to this game?

I hope this will be a proper separation between Rally and the mainline series (this) i felt like 4 was a mish-mash between the two, and this would be more akin to DiRT 2 and 3. A simcade

Main problem with Dirt 2 and 3 for me was being unable to drive fe. rally cars on landrush stages. I whish I could race on this jungle track shown on video with lancer evo ultracross car, or speeding around in a buggy thru this aurora themed stage. I know that makes no sense in story modes but in a custom games with friends on a split screen, hot seat or private online lobby there's should be complete freedom of choice and mixing cars, stages and race modes.

There’s something wrong with these new DiRT games.. For some reason I find this looking quite dull and boring, compared to DiRT 2 and 3. In DiRT 2 the tracks where twisting and turning, up and down. Over jumps, through water puddels, tracks splitting into two, through stadions with crowds, light flashes and firework canon getting shot of during jumps. I remember really exciting tracks and races. Great crashes, and AI cars making mistakes, and sometime makes huge crashes for you to avoid. Dirt 3, incredible rally tracks, fantastic graphics, intense races. Less extreme sports atmosphere, but great rally atmosphere. DiRT 4 was a horrible looking game. They completely ruined the lighting in that game, looks extremely flat, and weird looking trees and foliage. Now DiRT 5, looks a little better than 4. But the horrible lighting is still there. Flat and cartoony looking. Look at the lighting and environment of DiRT 3, and then look at this.. Yes, they might have different weathers, but DiRT 3 still looks miles better graphically.. But also gameplay wise, there’s not a lot going on here, there’s not a lot to the tracks, like the tracks in 2. Tracks don’t split up, I don’t see ai crashing and fumbling around on the track. No fireworks, no stadiums with crowds and pumping bass music when you pass by. No big water puddles to slow you down, no tunnels that chance the sound when you pass through. I mean, there’s nothing memorable about these tracks at all.. I’m very conflicted, cause I hope I am wrong, I really do. DiRT Rally 2.0 looks incredible visually. So looking at DiRT 5, just makes me scratch my head.. It has nothing of the tracks or visual fidelity of either 2, 3 or DR2.0 Perhaps it’s only me...

anyone pls help me out I bought this game on steam and want to run it with my logitech g29 wheel but it is no recognized by thi shitty game this is my first and last dirt game i think is there wrong from my end i play forza and project cars using the same wheel PLS HELP

This looks way too easy. After a couple of seconds, no opponent is ever seen again in a race. Let's hope, you can crank up the difficulty a lot more... (but please no rubber-banding)

I don't think I am gonna buy this. Those particle effects leave a lot to be desired. Specifically when it's from the same devs who worked on DriveClub a miracle of the previous generation. I might pirate this and then decide on purchasing.

They did a poor job with the steering mechanics, looks like you can't truly drift a vehicle at all on here..more like power sliding

Graphics-wise, if this is PS5 level, I'm not impressed at all.

PS5 and the graphics look no better than Motorstorm on PS3 with worse physics....and to think at the time I thought Motorstorm looked bad as the e3 2005 trailer look miles better than the actual game. I'll stick to PC and mods, these consoles are a joke. 15 years later barely any improvement and still not as good as target demo visuals for the PS3 or worse the actual games. Remember the jump from PS2 to PS3 then look at this, no wonder they releasing GTA5 across 3 console generations.
