Just as IRL, there are no official rules against cutting. It's up to you to risk pucture or other damage. When the co-diver say "Don't cut", it's not to remind you of the rules ;) If certain corners are not to be cut, there will be notes about it in the Roadbook. AFAIK, this is only to protect property and spectators. Forums are full of "nuts" who make up rules themselves and clams as real rules, as they think it should not be allowed. I have read all FIA's rulebooks that are posted on their website, several times, and there are nothing in there about cutting. We have no Stewards in the game, and no Roadbook, so the boundaries that are sat in the game are the ones to follow. Not some imaginary limits made up by forum members... Anyway, I'm currently 3rd WITHOUT cutting at Kopina, but I should have been 2nd as I have a time at 03:47.280, but it did not register online. There was huge problems with RaceNet yesterday, so that's probably why. It's pretty strange cause it said it would upload my time later.. It's there in the result screen after finishing the stage, as Personal Best, but not in the Leaderboard.. Not a big deal now, but how are they going to handle stuff like this tomorrow for the Championships? This game is in no way eSports ready! Good luck to you too! Cheers :)

@@Eagleizer, I seen you had a amazing time, i am still 10 seconds off pace i think its alot down to some gearing for me and being a bit more brave. For me felt like i was at my limit with the car. Iv got nothing against cutting personally as you said its a risk to take. They also should not be putting imaginary boundaries in places where people did use cuts for time. 100% agree it is not ready for Esports things need to be fixed first. @@Eagleizer, i wanted to say i read the forum crap on this, and am in 100% agree with your statements, default setups crush the whole spirit of this for me turns it into a snore fest. Why didnt they hide the location car combo and just require you have to go full in before you know what you are up against. My opinion anyway. This whole thing stinks of unprofessionalism. Ill still give it a go but what a waste of time setting car up. I hate the defaults in this game they do not evem remotely suit my style. Leave it to CM to not be professional why was there not more clear indication of defaults being used

What is horrific about that? There is also no grip on the grass, so if you try to break earlier, you have to brake a lot earlier, losing a lot of time. Why don't you show me how to do it? Prove what you are saying makes sense? You need to only use default setup. The point was to show that it's not saving your 3 seconds as it was claimed in the forum, as I wrote in the description. I did the shortcut lots of times to get the fastest possible time there, I would love to see you do it faster! Cheers :)

@@LeSwexy So? Can you not manage to compare the time before that? If it is hard for you, you can slow down the video if you watch on a PC. Is it 3 seconds difference as I talk about in the description? If I had started to brake earlier, on the grass, people would have complained that I braked before I entered the track. You only need to compare where I enter the track again. You get it? No need to compare after I hit the sign. And not that it matters, but hitting the sign does not slow you down either. I have done the run lots of times to make this video to make sure I got as fast time over the grass as possible, and still manage to make the turn. If not making a perfect turn matters, it only further proves my point, that you cannot go faster than I already did in the video, not saving more time that the video already shows. Get it? This was the fastest possible. I could have gone slower to make sure I made the turn look nice, which would only have further proven that going over the grass is not saving you much, on top of being very dangerous... I actually did make a nice turn in many other tries, but this was the fastest up until the turn, and the turn does not really matter to prove my point.. You should try yourself with default settings and show me how you would do it if it is so hard to compare. Upload it and link it here and I'll be more than happy to make a comparison video with your run. Also read the updated "Sticky" OK? Cheers :)

The video is not about driving skills. It's about if you save 3 seconds on the shortcut or not. I already tried to explain this. If you think I explained anything to defend my driving skills you are projecting you own urge to drive perfect. I don't care that much about driving skills that every video I make have to also show off perfect driving. With the amount of world records I have uploaded, I certainly do not need to make a video like this to show off, and almost none, if any of them, are displaying perfect driving. :p Now again: At no point am I defending my driving skills in the video. You may think I drive like shit, which is fine. It is far from perfect if you are also going to criticize my turn. But you are not that silly are you? I already explained that the turn is outside the scope of the video, and therefore is not important for the title of the video. The entering of the track does not matter in this regard either, as the shortcut is over as soon as you enter the track. Since the scope of the video, which is to measure the time it takes to cross the grass, it serves it's purpose, Just like if you jump off a building to see how long time it takes to hit the ground, it does not really matter how you hit the ground, or if you die or not... Now, if you look at that as an excuse for my driving, rather than explanation about what the video is about, and that therefore the entering of the track does not matter, then you have may have some mental issues that are far more serious than my lack of driving skills. As for if a game is serious, you must know very little about games. All games are serious for those who makes, or tries to make money off of it. Although there are more money to be made in other games, like football, ice hockey, tennis, F1 or whatever, the 10.000 Dollar, trip to UK for 2 people + lots of expensive gear that you could put yourself i position to win by taking this shortcut with that car, is more than 4 years salary where I live, So yeah, pretty serious, although style does not matter, only winning... I already made 2nd place in the race, so I know how to do the turn, even when I only had one chance to get it right. So, you may say I drive like shit in the video, and I agree, and I have never denied that, have I? I have only tried to explain why it does not matter, since it does not affect the test/demonstration. If you still don't get it, there is not much I can do for you I'm afraid. Cheers :)
