To anyone who is watching this, NEVER use a pressure washer on seats. After agitating the cleaning product with a brush or an electric drill you go straight for the extractor. A pressure washer will force water so deep into the fabric of the upholstery that it's very difficult for it to dry out and you most likely will have mold in places you won't be able to reach. I've been detailing cars for about 7 years now and my jaw dropped when he busted out the pressure washer
@@illiah6383 OR, you just work in the cleaning product with an electric drill + brush and then hit it with a vacuum cleaner. Saves you a lot of time and unnecessary work
IDA certified detailer, if a “detailer tells you he’s going to use a pressure washer to clean your seats or interior, f@&$ing RUN! Even murder can be removed with an enzyme prespot, a specialty cloth fabric shampoo and a peroxide finish with just a hot steam extractor that isn’t going to push everything into the foam which will just rise back up shortly there after. And the seats will be dry within hours with little or no chance of mold and mildew.
That seated be so wet that the phone won't even dry all the way and start stinking that extractor is not going to get all the water out of that foam that's crazy to drench that seat like that I'm a professional detailer and that's nonsense
Sin desmeritar tu trabajo.yo soy tapicero automotriz y en eso casos yo recomiendo desmontar los forros y lavarlos bien .queda mejor y no se moja la espuma.saludos desde Colombia.
I hope people know thats NOT how you do it, and by using the pressure washer the next step is to throw it into garbage…. You will not get the moisture out before it’ll start to grow mold inside
Even with a sunny day, the seat basically needs to be in a desert to stand a chance of drying off. That sponge won’t give up the water without any pressure on it.
A long time ago an acquaintance told me she put inexpensive seat covers on their cars, when car is new. Seats stay clean, and resale is excellent. (covers can be machine washed!) I've done the same ever since.
This is just for the views most likely on a flooded car, once a seat like that is wet it will grow mushrooms and no "professional" has any way to "clean" it. I'm a mechanic and i also paint and restore cars as a hobby, to give you an example i cleaned my car when i got it that was just humid and removed the upholstery from the seats, washed it in the washing machine, i repaired the foams but had micro organisms on it you could see crawling and were set to the sun for like a week, then reattached the upholstery manually on each spot which takes ages. They were perfect afterwards but it is not worth the hassle. There are a lot of "professionals" cleaning cars lately and all of them just leave filth and mold behind panels and carpets and the seats will grow a jungle. I can assure you if you want your car as clean as these guys claim it will be, you need the interior to be completely disassembled and get each bit cleaned and reinstalled.
buz buz buz haha with youtube we will see all the colors, obviously people: don't do the same thing! we are never going to hit a karcher on a seat because: - we will wet the foam, the electrical and electronic parts. - we are going to bring in the dirt - there is a risk of damaging the fabric. the best thing to do: (step to repeat until the desired result) - suction! - spray with fabric shampoo diluted as required, spray but not too much otherwise the dirt will penetrate deeper! - passing the brush or screwdriver+brush - extraction with the machine (without injecting!) this is to remove dirt without penetrating it then only do you cross-injection (with shampoo) and extraction as quickly as possible so as not to penetrate water and dirt (I think this is the most important otherwise you will have odor problems) repeat steps if necessary while knowing that if the dirt has remained for a long time: it has played the role of dye! so the initial color of your fabric no longer exists and has been replaced by the color of the dirt (generally gray or brown), so do not try to find the initial color, unfortunately it is no longer possible.
so you just push all the dirt into the foam???? the point of using an extractor is to... Extract... it can't extract whats been pushed 10 feet into the seat by a pressure washer..... this has to be a joke?
I would never Soak a car seat with so much water, soap, and cleaning detergent. I've detailed thousands of car seats over the last 30 years, but this is not the way to do it. Never Jet wash car seats! Use a high foam cleaner with minimal water, and then finish with the extraction wetvac fishtail.
Never wash seats with water. Last year I do that and this year I notice rust under fabric so I remove seats covers and I seen a lot of rust metal frame. So cars mostly have sensors in seats and if this sensor electronics catch moisture then sensors can show issues with Air Bag or any others sensors.
Leaving the foam cores saturated wet is going to be the biggest mistake in the world always remove the fabric and wash them in a washing machine or by hand in a sink.. .
While I appreciate all the effort you put in to cleaning the seat, and it looks great, I can’t help but wonder what yuck got soaked in to the cushion under the cover.
He cleaned tf out of this chair but I def thought it would get back to original with all that work out in. For that I’d pay to reupholster the chair lol
pressure washing this kind of stain is bad. Some stains will not budge with pressure washing. I also doubt any of these cleaners are acidic based cleaners. Probably alkaline which will not push or suck any stain out
