Dirty Honey with Chris Robinson (of The Black Crowes) - Rock 'n' Roll Damnation (AC/DC Cover) November 20, 2023 at The Belasco in Los Angeles, CA #CantFindTheBrakesTour: www.dirtyhoney.com
I agree, I’ve always thought the same thing, I’m 61 & was lucky to see AC/DC live immediately after releasing Power Age, they opened for Ted Nugent at the Spectrum & played the entire album, Bon Scott was unbelievable, so good!
This is so GOOOD. I’ve always felt that the Black Crowes were one of the DNA elements that make up the greatness known as Dirty Honey! When I tell people about Dirty Honey, to give them a reference I tell them 1970’s Aerosmith and Black Crowes combined…and then improved.
I just started listening to them this year I just discovered them this year and their music and my first thought went to Led Zeppelin musically and vocally. I did skim through an interview how they said that their influences where Led Zeppelin as well as ACDC and aerosmith. After I read that I was like okay I could hear the Aerosmith influence and also the AC DC and now I'm looking back at Black Crowes videos and music and I'm like okay I see that influence too. They're so well-rounded and rooted with those classic rock music that make them amazing. I'm glad I'm starting to get to know them now in their beginning and they have more to give so I can't wait
Not everyone can cover this song with the same attitude and singing of AC/DC... Also you put a legendary singer on the stage to sing a legendary song... With all these ingredients it comes out just perfect rock n roll! 🤘 Thanks guys for this music! Please do more AC/DC covers 🙏
was about 10 when Shake Your Money Maker came out and they were seen as a "revival" band at the time, who knew what kind of longevity they could have. Fast forward about 30 years later (where does time go?!) cool to see Black Crowes through ups and downs have been a mainstay and CR jump on stage here doing his part to pass the torch to the next generation, Dirty Honey, keeping this genre alive!
I just started listening to them this year I just discovered them this year and they blew my mind my first thought when I heard dirty honey was Led Zeppelin they gave me that Sound musically and vocally I was blown away. I did miss there earlier show in LA and you about it I just forgot to get tickets and lucky that they were coming back to LA I was like I'm not missing this I want to see them live. It was an amazing show I'm so rock and roll take you back in time to how rock and roll used to be or you should be. Pure rock and roll loved it can't wait for their next show
That was fantastic , Robinson has that Southern Rock Soul voice, sounds great with Marc LaBelle, and band kicking ass. I loved it. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How great this sounds, loved the Crowes when they first appeared, they dressed like me and sounded like all the bands i loved. So good that guitar rock n roll is still going in the 2020s, it's constantly been written off but it still inspires young kids to play, some of the tik toks of kids who aren't even teens is mind blowing how good they are. Long may it continue.
I was just coming to youtube to look for this…. and there it was at the top of my subscription list!! F’n awesome!! edit: btw…this off my favorite AC/DC album. Did you guys play the tape of this before the show like usual????
