I spent my summer's here when I was young on 68 acres. The local Walmart had the absolute best sweet popcorn I've ever had. It was a great little place, no crime I'd ride the lawnmower and go karts exploring the property. We had a little shed house I used as a playhouse. This was the 90's I've never really seen this side of the city. They had a little restaurant that had the absolute best hot ham and cheese sandwiches for $1.25
If you go on google maps and do a streetside view, it soes not look any near as bad as this guy portrays the town. He is only showing a small part of this town. There is some nice new housing on Bayou Oaks Dr. See for yourself.
Is it irresponsible of the very successful rap and hip hop artists to make everyone think they can make millions? Or is the the same as any other wealthy person making everyone think they will achieve that and…..that it is will make you happy? Cannot imagine coming from this kind of environment to something like Cardi B or these other successful artists. How could you even manage that emotionally let alone financially? Are there kids that dream of doing something else or is that even on the radar at all? Do any parents encourage their kids to achieve or is the soul so stifled that the only creativity comes from the music? Feels very interrelated and intertwined in the culture.
Front street,, nolan and st Elizabeth were the most money making streets in donaldsonville for 20 years until the police shut them down it was like the wire tv show.
Doesn't look any different than the white southern Hood. It's hot in the south and a lot of folks can't afford a air conditioners and couldn't afford the electric bill if they had one.
out of curiosity, why do you think politicians "care" about illegal immigrants? what money is being funneled to them by politicians that are not being used towards small towns? I agree that politicians don't care, I just find it odd that you're pointing towards illegal immigration. politicians may actively care LESS about illegal immigration, but that's just because corporations desire that as a cheap labor source, and the jobs they're taking are extremely difficult with very little under the table compensation. so i guess i'm just curious - what millions or billions are being funneled into the hands of illegal immigrants as opposed to these people?
