It's quite a worn out looking United 757. Though stripping off, she's still wearing it's battleship grey colors. Engine fogs up in the humid morning weather while taking off from runway 28R. Nice windup sounds of the PW2000.
This aircraft was built in 1992 at Boeing Renton Factory, it was first flew on 10/8/1992, and was delivered to United Airlines in 10/23/1992, It has a Pratt & Whitney PW2040 engines, retired on 10/27/2014, stored at KGYR from 11/2/2014-9/6/2016, and stored at KSBD since 9/6/2016.
@UnitedJetSetter It went through a very thorough heavy check (D check) in march. I thought it would have made sense to send it off for paint right after the check, but united thought otherwise. I have good memories of this old bird.
OH WOW! This was the same exact plane I flew on from LAX! I told my girlfriend I thought it needed a new paint job! It didn't look too bad inside though.
It's not United 93 it crashed into a field I missed four plane and three plane successfully hit their targets but the fourth plane did not reach it target
