Unfortunately, I will disagree with most of what you said after living in Berlin for 4 years. When someone comes to Germany from Pakistan, they have high thoughts of everything, the parties, the lifestyle the vibe. Small cities destroy everything mentally to a newbie, so many guys I know who either left back to Pakistan or stayed sad during their time in the small cities. The whole point of coming to Germany from Pakistan is to see the western lifestyle, to enjoy yourself and to make money, none of that is possible in a small city. ALSO, not many people will speak English making life for a newbie even harder (He'll learn German fast that's a good thing but the strugge) and more depressing.

If you're going to Germany for studies, don't worry about living in big cities because your primary aim is to study. Everything else comes later.
