Disagreeing About Christmas, Louis VS Raya // Vlogmas Day 8 

I'm team-Raya on the Christmas decoration. But Louis, amazing, your office looks so nice!! What a beautiful vlog. The jumping-Raya and the advent calendar part were so so funny too!

I have to say, while I prefer the warm glow of the little white Christmas tree lights, Louie’s office transformation was truly magical. Can’t wait to see what’s coming next for Vlogmas!! ❤️🎄❤️

When I was young our christmas tree was very colourful and full of mayhem with all our handmade decor, tinsel and crazy decorations. As we got older my mum stopped with the tinsel and started trying to keep a colour theme. I never did christmas as an adult but now as a mum of three its full mayhem maddness in our house.

Separation anxiety is traumatizing more for the parents. Trying separating for a few minutes at a time then increase. It’s more traumatizing the older they are when are not used to separating. You never know when an emergency will come up and you have to leave your baby with someone.

The editing for this vlog was so nice especially the timelapses! For me christmas is all about the colorful lights but I looove the classic look too!

A healthy mix of the two! Colour or white lights, no tinsel on the tree, but more baubles which can be colour coordinated.

The lights on my tree go from warm white to colorful, but I’d go colorful if I had to pick one. The more hodge-podge and the more memories, the better! Love Louis’ little tree

I like both trees! Maybe switch every year. Like the odd number years are the white lights and the even number years are the colorful lights?

We do 2 trees as well: colourful with sentimental ornaments from childhood and travels and another pretty tree with white lights and themed ornaments. It makes us all happy!

I'm a child of the 60's and 70's. I like the multi-colored lights and all the different baubles. I can still admire the 'fancy' white lights and monochromatic colored baubles.

My favorite Christmas movie is The Family Stone with Diane Keaton. Love how real it is. Love both your trees! Like that you both did your own creative thing! Thanks for sharing!

I grew up with the colourful lights, ornaments and tinsel in Australia so I do love Louis tree but as I have gotten older I do prefer the cool white lights as well so I also love Raya’s tree. This year I decided to do just lights on my tree with no ornaments so I have cool white and also flashing green and red ones and I love it. Thank you guys so much for your daily Vlogs you’re both amazing! ♥️🎄

Colors all the way. White lights are great for string lights in a backyard in the summertime, but they just aren’t very Christmasy.

Every year we get 1 family ornament and both of my boys gets their own ornament. There really isn’t much room left on the tree with a 20 and 18 year old but when they move out, they will take their ornaments with them and hopefully keep those memories of our trips or outings just looking for the perfect one.

The title of the blog should be “Leo, Raya & Louis” been that he’s now in charged of every adventure, blessings to you and the family he’s growing fast in front of our eyes ❤

Love Both Christmas trees I have seen a box that has little doors ends on 25th Christmas that you can put things in so each day is different maybe a charity shop will have one. That way every day is a surprise.

Those multi activity 'boxes are good, but a bit unwieldy aren't they Neo., but you have some lovely wooden toys. 4:54

Inspired by how intentional you're being with your Christmas plans this Vlogmas I made myself an advent calendar of activities. There's some journal prompts, Christmas activities, and a few treats like face masks. I have a wooden advent calendar from when I was a kid that I usually fill up with my collection of Christmas earrings but this year I did something extra. Next year I want a tea advent calendar. 🎄

I love white/yellow classic lights over coloured lights BUT I like the coloured lights in the office setting. That office looks sick! So maybe you cracked it… white classic in the living space and colourful in the creative space 🎉

I wrote in the vlog where you were buying a tree that it is way too early to put it up and it will be dry as grass buy the time of Christmas - if the central heating is on all day it will definitely speed up the drying.

You can be at peace knowing that if precious Neo cry’s when you guys leave the room he WILL settle down! As an infant, preschool and elementary school teacher for years so many little ones go through the “separation anxiety” phase but try to go ahead and leave the room as long as he’s in good hands, little by little and you’d be surprised at how he will settle down pretty quickly. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

For me personally, Raya's decoration style wins. 🌲I prefer Christmas trees that are decorated completely without plastic and with natural materials (such as tin, wood or straw). I love the simple colors of your tree in the living room because it doesn't create overstimulation and creates a relaxed atmosphere. But the office still looks really great! I know its not as easy with your busy schedules, but I would highly recommend doing your grocery shop at your local market, prices may be a bit more on some things but it would be plastic free, fresher and of course supporting the local businesses :)

Neo may be teething. He’s putting everything in his mouth, he’s on/off fussy, he’s drooling allot. Teething is a painful process for babies!👶 I like both Christmas styles! Colorful is my youth and traditional white is my adult style. Hugs, Doc❤

It’s been a while since mine were small, but I remember basically deciding I wasn’t gonna leave the house for the first month or two! And after that, it was baby steps… It’s very wise to take it easy when your schedule has been thrown off a little bit… And still, every outing, big or small, is an adventure ❤ In the long term, you’ll be able to do more fun things, because you’re well rested! I have white lights in my current home, but I think I'm team Louie for the house you have and I don't limit my tree ornaments to a couple of colors. (Neither will you in a few years when Neo starts making ornaments!) But Raya's tree is absolutely gorgeous too and I'm glad you're going to have two. I'd like an advent calendar with tiny ornaments for a table-top tree.

Not sure where you shop but fruit and veg in plastic is not the norm everywhere I shop in the UK, the main supermarkets and markets have lots of unpackaged fresh food items and reusable bags etc
