I enjoy the in house debates. I wish people wouldn't get so bent out of shape.

If I raised any of these names or even words like "dispensationalism" with the evangelicals I grew up with (at least Gen X or older), they wouldn't have any clue or context. These names and concepts were never mentioned in my childhood southern Baptist and pentecostal churches. Heck, I am just learning them now myself, after deconstructing more than 20 years ago and finally discovering all the amazing things I was oblivious to.

The same point could be made in reverse. What if you read what sounded like a wonderful explanation of a topic in the Bible, but then you found out it came from a group you disagreed with? What if after you read it, you found out it was written by a pope in the 1400s? Or after you read it, what if you found out it was from the Watchtower, by Jehovah’s Witnesses? How would you feel if you felt like your question truly was answered, but by a group you didn’t believe in?

Love this channel and many great points shared, but it must be said that the Bible does not "yell" that Jesus is God but rather Jesus is God's Son by virgin birth. That much is explicitly clear. The understanding that the Father alone is God and that Jesus is his human Messiah that he exalted to sit at his right hand has long been not tolerated by plenty to say the least, yet it's exactly what the Bible teaches. We would do well to remember that Jesus and the Apostles were not Trinitarians and that it's simply anachronistic to map this 4th century doctrine onto 1st century Scripture. "Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know" (Acts 2:22)

I figure that God made us all different, from our hair, eyes, skin color, right down to the cells in our body that make us each uniquely identifiable by our DNA. So it only makes sense that there would be different ways to seek God out & find connection.

There's only one door to God the Father, and His name is Jesus. There's no other way to God.
