if someone had told me to stay on the pavement, I would’ve took that as a warning, and I would’ve never traveled down that road even if my child was disappointed!! at least my child would not be in danger just upset

I remember watching this with my mom as a kid, we recorded it on our VCR so we could watch it later, commercials and all lol 😅. This became our favorite movie to watch together and finding it here on RU-vid brings back so many memories ❤ I would give anything to be able to watch this with her again, miss you mom.

Damn if I don't know that feeling 😢 My parents are both on the other realm. My dad in 2011 and my mom in 2013. Then my husband committed su1cide in 2019 and I lost my baby cat of 22 years in 2020. We didn't have any kids. She was it. It's just me now. Early 40s. I'm not old. While I would give anything to have all of them back, if it meant they'd be suffering again like they were, no. No I wouldn't do it even IF it was possible. Do a Ritual for and with your mom on Samhein (Halloween). The veal is the thinnest this time of year and it's easier for them to make contact. Halloween is the Holiday of and for celebration of the Dead after all

for some reason, my dad loved all the tremors movies!! he watched them every time we ran across one. I didn’t really care for the movie that I would watch with him because he loved them. Now that he is gone from this world. I love those movies because they bring back so many memories of him.!! sometimes when I run a crossed one, I wish there was a phone in heaven, so that I could call him and tell him to watch with me!!! my dad was my best friend, and life has never been the same since he left, sometimes I still talk to him like he is right beside me, I wish he could answer!!! Second time watching this strange film. Still can't understand the plot. Was it an ancient burial site that was cursed? Was it a secret government experiment or both. If anyone out there knows please tell the rest of us😏 A good film overall but quite puzzling too. Maybe it's meant to leave us thinking 🤔 In real life, couples and families have driven off into parts unknown n never returned. Let me go back to my comedies this film is way too deep 4 me😵‍💫🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️😏

Not sure but perhaps in the end they became part alien, or hybrid human. Did you notice how different Ethan was when he returned? They mention Area 51, and that should be a clue. Sudden illogical disappearances are typical of abductions. Retired FBI agent David Paulides has been investigating these for many years (Missing 411). Some claim there are immense underground networks & constructions, some of which have been offered to alien visitors. It's a cop-out that the movie did not explain what happened to the prisoner who was left in the middle of the night out in the desert, by the fire. Indeed, the ending was totally weird. These are my thoughts for what its worth. Thanks

I remember first watching this movie when I was very young I could never figure out what was after them or keeping all those people trapped in that town. Maybe some kind of force or alien type being? I just found it so scary it is exactly what you'd expect visiting a ghost town or scary/creepy place.

that's a good point. I think even the director said it was creatures from the bomb. Maybe he lost his sense of time? One of those paranormal things where a certain number of time has passed but the person does not realise it, and is missing to everyone around them.@@jessicakowalski8681

The dad had his choices as to what to do to begin with he should've tried harder getting the truck started first it probably was the battery cable disconnected and secondly he should've locked all the doors and windows up and closed the hood fully and he needed a good reliable flashlight but,more importantly he should've stayed on the main road from the getgo they were not fully prepared.😢

I love road trips but I know gas stations are closer on the highway then on back roads as much as id rather be on the back roads. It's a life sentence if you break down on these roads. Your not prepared for accidents or anything else

I remember catching this on Lifetime Movie Network of all places, when I was 12 (same age as the girl Katie here). Yes, Katie may have been one of my first television crushes, go figure. Rewatching this, I actually think it's pretty decent for a straight-to-television horror-thriller even though it seems like a dime store Hills Have Eyes at points. Of course, I'm not a fucking sicko so I'm not crushing on the girl anymore :D

They are zombies. Something evil in the town takes over their minds and bodies once they step foot into that town. The mom and dad become zombies too who serve food in the diner. It's a town full of zombies.

I think whatever it was chasing them finally caught up to them..indicative by the car accident near the end. We never find out what is terrorizing everybody. It might be a metaphor thing to explain how we are all sheep in the end. Or it might be a just a simple ghost story. Maybe both. It sure is creepy though and leaves a lot to the imagination.

@@SH-to8sh, the fact that the last family took over the roles of the some of the townspeople tells you it's aliens ( think invasion of the body snatchers).

I think they all died in the car crash and like everyone else they became ghosts. The freshly created Graves back at the old house was indicative of them being next.
