My favorite Christmas tradition is the novena we do as a family. It's a Colombian tradition. Basically every day (for 9 days) leading up until Christmas we sing some Christmas songs and go over a little story of what happened that day in terms of Jesus' birth, which happens on the last day. It's just a fun time for everyone to come together and get into that holiday spirit and also talk about Jesus and remembering that his birth is why we even celebrate Christmas in the first place.

My favorite Christmas tradition is on Christmas Eve, my family and I have fondue for dinner. An appetizer round, a dinner round and then a dessert round! The dessert round is usually just chocolate! :) then while we eat the fondue, we watch Christmas movies together!

When we were little my dad went out with me, my brothers and our dog on Christmas eve. We walked around a lake through the snow. While we were gone, my mother prepared the presents, the food and a hot chocolate for each kid. So when we came home, everything was ready and we could get warm again with a hot chocolate. I loved this tradition.

my parents are pretty last minute so they dont wrap my family's presents until the middle of the night on christmas eve, so waking up to a bunch of boxes under the tree is always a nice feeling on christmas

Every year, the weekend after thanksgiving, my adopted family and I go out to breakfast super early in the morning and then drive three hours away to cut our own Christmas tree. I have 2 young teen siblings and it's always our favorite thing to do together! The last few years have been covered in snow and it is beautiful. We have a traditional photo that we take of the three of us in the same spot every year and it's crazy to see how much we've grown!!

My favourite Christmas tradition is listening to Elvis' Christmas album and decorating the tree 😌 also, every year when i was a kid, my brother and i would get a new ornament for the tree and it would always be a ballerina for ne and a nutcracker for him and now that im moved out i do the same with my husband☺️ i get a ballerina and ge gets a squirrel hahaha

Every year my grandparents rent a big van and take all the grandkids out to the houses with the best christmas lights. They google the top ones and print out a map. We all pile in the car and get hot chocolate and look at lights, but the best part is spending time with the family :)

What my family does each year is make these Norwegian cookies called "bakkelse"! Its a fried cookie cut into diamond shapes and then put frosting on top! They are like Italian Wandas if you've ever heard of those! SO YUMMY!

Guatemala is incredible!! Go to Panajachel and visit all the little towns around the lake. You can kayak on the lake there. Also Antigua is great! Be safe there.

Switzerland is AMAZING! All the different hiking trails offer such beautiful views! You don't even have to hike for long to actually see those views because there are trains that will actually take you up there. One place I absolutely love is having a lazy day on the grass in the Castelgrande castle in Bellinzona. Zurich is also a really interesting city, but a must go is Zermatt. You most definitely need to go there and ride the train up to Rotenboden because the view of the Matterhorn is to die for. You can also see the "upside down Matterhorn" which is just the reflection of the mountain in the lake, but it's really really beautiful!!

Australian christmas is in summer so we get to eat prawns and go swimming on christmas day! Also go buy a new christmas decoration every year with my dad and sister which is a fun tradition of ours.
