I just wanted to say I used your palette for the first time yesterday. I did my makeup at 6:30 am and was so impressed when I got home at 7:30 pm after a long sweaty day of work and my shadow was still PERFECT. This was my first Morphe purchase and I'm so glad it was one supporting you. ❤

Girl I feel you I’m itching to buy a new concealer but I’m not having any luck with I high coverage. I have Lancôme full coverage camouflage concealer in 115 perfect color but I need something leas oily. I have a sample for my correct shape tape shade but the one I bought was way too light for me. Idk I love anything Kathleen films she has an amazing personality.

You should totally do a series on your channel using eye palettes that people don't really talk about anymore. I think it's a great way to get some use out of older palettes and get re-inspired by them! If you decide to do this, can you include the 1) Urban Decay Electric Palette, 2) Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eye Palette, 3) NARSissist L'amour Toujours eye palette, 4) and lastly the Gwen Stefani eye palette with Urban Decay. And maybe some of the older Lorac palettes too :). Love you and your videos so much! And keep the Morphe tutorials coming because mine came in and I'm obsessed!!!

you mentioned that making a disappointing products video gives you anxiety.. think of it this way- no brand is prefect and they need to be aware of their flaws and if it wasn't for videos like this, maybe brands wouldn't improve as much. If someone that reaches a large audience mentions that a product isn't their favorite because of SO and so... subscribers willingly come forward and share their experiences too! Making disappointing product videos from favorite brands or any brands might feel wrong but you're helping them figure out what's wrong that they didn't catch and in return they give us better products that are well worth the money!!! ugh you're so cute & sweet. ❤️

Love your honesty-- you are not the first I've heard say those juicy shakers dry out your lips. I can't remember who else has said that but I've heard it more than once actually.
Kar4Jax I think they're so drying because of all the fragrance in them. Ssssamantha said that if she wears it for too many days in a row it dries them out

You are a beauty guru, which means that you are the tester and experimenter for all of us common folk who can't afford or don't have the time or the energy to do what you do. What I really love about KathleenLights is that she lacks vanity or frills. You don't see her staring at herself on her viewfinder like many other RU-vidrs. There's not that annoying slow mo or hairtouching. She's so genuine and classic. 🎉

breathe carolina I have the palette and I really like it. The champagne color is the best and most wearable. The peach and pink ones are more intense and don't show up as colorful as in the pan. The cream highlight is nice for starting your highlight under your foundation if you're going all out. Hope this helps! :)

I think it is down to an individual. There may be an ingredient that may not react well with one person's skin but works wonderfully on others like it does on me and a lot of people i have heard rave about it.
I have 2, one in vanilla pop and one in boom-meringue. Honestly the vanilla pop one is moisturizing and the boom- meringue one is more drying on my lips. I wonder if different shades have different formulas 🤔
I have maybe 5 of these, got some for my sister and my mom, and they have totally fixed our dry and chapped lips! Like a total transformation. But I do think that some people get more nourishment from oils and others respond better to waxes found in balms and such. Because I have purchased all the high end lip balms that have been popular on RU-vid, in addition to just Carmex and stuff, and nothing before the Juicy Shakers helped me.
Hannah Waldrop i have the mint to be juicy shaker and it is the most moisturizing thing i have ever put on my lips!! it must be the different shades or flavors

These are so helpful for actually buying makeup! Whenever I'm thinking of buying high end products I always do heaps of research to see what they're really like because I don't want to be disappointed with products that I've spent so much hard earned money on. I tried convincing myself I loved them as I stupidly bought two at C$28 each. But they dry my lips out and the colour fades after ten seconds. I like the concept and the application but not the actual product.
Wow, I'm surprised to see Wet & Wild's Matte Liquid Lipsticks in this video. I thought they were incredible, especially for less than $4. They _are_ a 'hard' matte though.
Hi Kathleen. I'm guessing the juicy shaker lip gloss had some kind of citrus extract in it, especially if it had lemon in its name. I don't understand why companies continue to put ingredients into lip products that are well known for their drying effects - citrus, menthol, eucalyptus, mint, etc. My husband gets frustrated with me sometimes when we're shopping because I'm ALWAYS reading labels on everything! Loved your video and your honesty. Never apologize for being truthful and honest. We all love you for you!!!
I don't understand...these flawless RU-vidrs say "My skin is bad," or whatever and I'm over here having a great skin day and I still look like a potato compared to them...like...why. #realworld
Melissa Whitt Sometimes what you see on RU-vid or Instagram is not the reality. They use professional cameras with effects and filters and special lighting equipment, even Photoshop sometimes. So don't feel bad about yourself because you don't look like beauty gurus because sometimes even they don't look like themselves :) I'm not trying to offend anyone with this, Kathleen is always gorgeous , but don't compare yourself to them because they have the right tools to show the best version of themselves on social media :)

I love watching these kinds of videos. They help me make better decisions when buying makeup than all the hyped up "OMG I LOVE THIS! YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE!" vids. Everyone has different preferences and standards when it comes to makeup. Some prefer dryer, some prefer creamier, some don't mind fallout while others absolutely hate it. So seeing and hearing your reasons for NOT liking a product lets me see those key descriptions that I'm looking for. Thank you for making this video!
I didn't buy the Urban Decay highlighter trio either because when I swatched it at Sephora, it was pure glitter. I felt like the 90s were coming back when people used to roll glitter sticks from Bath & Body Works on their face. Not my favorite tread!

May I just tell you, that the Sleek highlighter in Solstice is unbelievably AMAZING! It's like pure light shining from your face without any glitter whatsoever. It's my personal holy grail highlighter for sure :P
I have the palette she is talking about and I like the pigmentation and the light but I do feel like it shows up the texture on my face, which makes me dislike it but I have had a tonne of compliments whenever I wear it so I'm on the fence! Would have been interesting to find out her opinion 😊😊
How does this happen? I have that one and the precious metals one, and they are both glittery... How come yours aren't glittery? What do you apply them with? Maybe it's the brush...

I love Abh & lately I feel like she's doing more quantity (she keeps on coming out with new glow kits) but they seem to be lacking that quality that her first ones have. I feel like moon child and sweets glow kit have a different formula than the first 3, they are pigmented but have a lot more glitter, which I don't like cuz then I end up with glitter fallout all over my face & That ultimate one is just glitter no pigment.
ILikeMakeupMoreThanPeople I bought the moonchild one because everyone was raving about it and I wanted different looking highlights but omg that thing is so glittery. I hate it. And I paid twice its price to get it to my country too. I'm really disappointed :/
Natalia Pessoa It works for me the best when I use it with my Abh A23 brush, I have to tapped the brush, wet it with some fix plus - apply to my cheek bones and than blend it with my damp beauty blender (which I always wet w/mac fix plus) Maybe that will work for you😉
I'm so glad you mentioned the Marc Jacobs bronzing brush. I've been on the fence about plopping down that much on a brush and was worried it would do exactly what you mentioned.
YES. Thank you for talking about the new ABH glow kit! I agree completely. Way too much chunky glitter, it emphasizes ANY texture in the skin, and doesn't even come close to their other glow kits. Super disappointing product. I work at Sephora and see those being returned almost everyday, so you're not the only one.
The 'hype' about the lancome shakers is because they had a huuuuuuuge PR (cam..pain?pagne? Idk Im dumb.) anyways yeah they had that as you probably saw as well and lancome made it seem like the best product ever to everyone involved.
Ur so right everyone got them for free and of course youre going to like something more when its free vs when you spend a ton of money on garbage lip oils..... Lawd lol

1. Have you tried the MJ brush with cream/liquid bronzer? Idk just a thought. 2. I feel like all UD highlights are so sparkly. Especially the big Naked one. Like nothing about Sparkles is naked or natural. 3. If it's an oil, it probably does dry out your lips. If you put straight "unsaturated fats" on your skin without a waxy substance (cocoa butter, beeswax, paraffin) or saturated (solid) fat or "butter", it doesn't stay and hold the moisture. It just grabs your natural oils and disappears, leaving you dryer. That's why the oil-cleansing method is very effective- actually it may be worth trying for you skin stuff.

I heard bad things about the Naked baked trio from so many people, but Wayne Goss was raving about it....? Those Lancome juicy shakers have alcohol in them (that's why they only ship by ground shipping) so maybe that dried your lips out? I get weird gunk around my lips when they start fading and I admit some of them do dry out my lips but I still love them so much.
I think you have to remember he's actually a qualified, trained makeup artist, so what he likes or thinks works well, might be different for non-trained people just doing makeup on themselves. People buying products to do their own makeup often have different expectations of products.
