I agree with you. I have pressure washed countless engines over the years and I've never had a single issue. I avoid spraying water directly INTO the alternator. That's pretty much it.
@jonthelamb4549
@jonthelamb4549 2 года назад
On 99-06 gmc and Chevy with any of the v8 engines you are likely get water into knock sensors and over time the will corrode and lose their ground to the engine.

I used to work in detail and between me and 2 others, detailing thousands of vehicles combined, only once did any car have any issue and it was one of their personal vehicles and it was just a small wire that was a $20 fix if that, on a jeep tj, and their engine bays are very open and wires are everywhere

Agreed aslong as your careful around the alternator and other electronics in the engine bay theres nothing wrong with it and alot of time you may even find a problem hidden under the grease and grime

I agree my big brother had a 1989 Grey in middle and red and it was just over all a nice truck but sadly it burt down to the ground on the way to church it was a single cab tho he has a 2002 f150 king ranch now and nit. Extended cab and I like that one more

Its awesome to see your customer’s decision to get such an old truck detailed and try to bring a new life back to it. Instead of letting it just sit and rot. Awesome transformation

Wow! You are a super detailer! I had a couple of those 80’s Fords and the paint was terrible when new. My 1987 F350 was repainted by Ford under warranty. It was about 3 months old and the paint started coming off.

Wow! Never ever apologize for doing a vehicle like this, this may belong to someone who takes pride in what they drive and they brought it to you for that reason. I know I said before that the Datsun you had reminded me of my father, but this truck was one that he had and used daily, only his was blue but the interior brings back memories of my youth. You also did an older Ford Bronco that brought back memories because it looked exactly like one I learned to drive stick shift in. Sorry for the long post but I just wanted to let you know you're doing an amazing job as always, keep up the good work!

Nice guys! A tip I use for the really buddy work/industrial trucks, keep a bucket of warm soapy water, when you use your microfiber to wipe, dunk in the bucket and wring out and reuse the towel, don’t go through near as many towels this way!

Nice video. I bought an '83 F-150 in 1994 with a 351 Windsor and an automatic. Had sucked a valve, so I put rebuilt heads on it only to learn the rings were beyond saving. Oh well. A learning experience, had it 6 mos.

For the black(?) paint I would have used some detailing spray on wax to shine it up. Did you soap down the inside of the bed and hand wash that as well? I never see detailers do that in their vids. I do it on my pickup because the bed inside needs love too.
