Yes it suck’s unfortunately I have to work on them everyday mechanically for my normal job when ever I get to spend a couple weeks washing them instead it’s like a big break!
I didn’t do this for my personal business I have to wash them time to time for my day job. When you factor in labor at about $160 something an hour, fuel, chemicals, dry ice, it is extremely expensive. Thankfully we don’t do a lot of them. It is definitely not even close to the price of one of these trucks even a really old one is very expensive. The asphalt industry is full of money it’s kind of hard to believe how much these big companies are making paving roads they can easily afford it. My service manager has learned to quote well above how much it will actually cost because we’ve lost money underestimating how much time goes into getting one clean!
