Woke Snow White Trailer is being ratioed and Gal Gadot found out her singing scenes have been DELETED but Rachel Zegler's were not in the live-action movie, Bob Iger needs to respond.
I can't blame Gal Gadot for refusing to market the movie with Rachel. They paid her to play a part in the movie, not to play babysitter to such a spoiled brat (Zegler).
Well part of the contract of movie actors is they have to promote the movie, the promoting is actually a majority of the work they have to do. But since the movie has been pushed back a whole year and Gal Gadot was contracted to do all of this promoting LAST year so it wouldn't conflict with shooting and promoting other movies, that is what gives her an out.

She basically has taken money from all the actors participating in this, and all the investors investing in this, by ruining the movies perception before it even came out. Gal is an IDF veteran and an Israeli citizen. I'm sure she has strong convictions regarding the current conflict, but she's a professional and keeps her politics out of her acting.
@MoonPhantom yes, part of the contract is to promote the movie. But I highly doubt it specifies that she HAS to promote it with Zegler. She can have separate interviews away from her.
well apparently the right is boycotting for rachel, and the left isnt watching for bc of Gadot. So this film is DOA for sure. Disney is an embarrassment

We all grew up watching those classic Walt Disney films snow white, lady and the tramp, Alice in wonderland, and I don't remember the prince in snow white being a stalker

I still can't believe the fact that disney actually used animated dwarfs in a live action movie because apparently employing real dwarfs for acting jobs is somehow "racist" now.
Don't forget that they denied jobs for little people as the 7 dwarves and replaced them with CGI. Why make a live action movie if you have to use so much CGI?
A lot of that may have been due to Peter Dinklage. On the one hand, I get the guy's argument that little people should have more roles available than fantasy dwarves. On the other hand, why wouldn't you want to play one these iconic characters?

gal Gadot just wanted a job. She has never mentioned Israel. She never brought politics into this. She’s a professional, as far as I’ve seen so far. I hope she continues this path and let Ziegler show her ass. Somehow it will be our fault it fails and I wouldn’t be surprised if they blame Gadot and Israel at some point for the failure. At least some of the fans will.

I have absolutely no problem with diverse castings in movies but come on Disney? The character is called snow white because of her very pale skin. This is not a race issue, it is an ignorance of source material issue.
I have nothing against disney making interpretations of Geman folk histiorei like Snow White, or a Danish the little mermaid, Austrian Bambi, and many other European stories, but the new one is not okay, it is a mockery of our culture and it also sends a signal that Africans can't make good stories when they don't take any from Africa or make new ones, France was inspired by an Arab folk story with Aladdin, and the old Disney interpretation is also good of Aladdin, but all the new Disney is unrecognizable and not worth seeing.

I'm from Telugu culture in India, a lot of rural people don't know Snow White. So I explained to my wife about the story and the controversy around it. Her single question when she saw Rachel Zegler was, sure she is not evil Queen?
Chapek was only really in charge for 11 months. The only thing I know for sure he greenlit was "Deadpool & Wolverine." Almost everything that happened on his watch were time bombs Bob Iger set.

So...if female audiences didn't like Gal Gadot in a singing role and that will ultimately effect how her character is portrayed in the film, how the hell did tone-deaf-no-talent Emma Watson get to "sing" as Belle in that abomination that was "Beauty and the Beast"??? With the exception of "Cinderella" starring Lily James, NONE of these live action remakes should have been done. They're a huge waste of money, and frankly, insulting to sit through.
The issue around Emma's voice was actually caused by the sound engineers. The music in the movie was a combination of studio and live-action recording and the majority of Emma's live-action recordings couldn't be used due to background noise issues and so the sound engineers ended up Frankensteining Emma's recordings together, thus the final result. Emma had actually been training for months to sing and didn't even hear the final result until the premiere and was so upset when she did. 😕

Not because you think a certain actor will bring in more young fans. I've been doing professional musical theatre for years, and Emma was completely wrong for the role. She was basically playing Historical Hermione. I didn't see or hear "Belle" once.

He joins her in singing and she gets embarrassed and runs off.…..and when she is reported missing he goes to search for her……. At that point he had already fallen for her……
I'm more surprised she got the Juliet role in a Romeo and Juliet movie after that BS, certainly doesn't seem like the type that would understand falling in love with a dude and wanting to die for him. I could also see her calling Romeo a Stalker from her balcony.

Yep, though in fairness, Disney already has a history of taking the old, beloved, and more importantly _copyright-free_ fairy tales, and _'adapting'_ them... as they did with the Star Wars franchise.

Gal Gadot reminds me of Christopher Reeve in that she was the PERFECT embodiment of the character in the FIRST movie. "Wonder Woman 1984" movie reminded me of "Superman 3" in that there really wasn't ANYTHING WRONG with Gadot's (or Reeve's) performance - except that it was plopped in the middle of a ridiculous vehicle. If Richard Lester wanted to do a Richard Pryor comedy, he should have done one - and left Superman out of it. Likewise "Wonder Woman 1984" and the scenery-chewing performance of Pedro Pascal. That wasn't Gal Gadot's fault! Why pin it on HER? (I honestly think the producers and the studio were looking for a way to cut Gadot loose due to her politics, actually.) Granted, "Superman IV: The Quest for Peace" WAS Reeve's fault (as it was his project idea)... Can you imagine a dream cast "Justice League" movie with Christopher Reeve, Christian Bale and Gal Gadot? Three GREAT characterizations in one movie... 😁
I am confused by this. Pedro Pascal was the only good actor in WW84, although the movie was completely awful. Gal Gadot makes a perfect WW poster, but she cannot act AT ALL... You want in your dream cast for movie?? Reeve and Bale are great actors, Gadot is a model who gets put in movies because she is beautiful and most people don't see past it, she has same tone, delivery, accent, same everything in every movie through the whole movie, no fear, anger, excitement... she has ZERO range and just recites lines as gal gadot...
The real story of Snow White is that inner beauty (innocence) is greater than outer beauty (glamour). Disney dropped the ball on this one because there are only political agendas and social justice cues, which are anything but beautiful or innocent!

Seriously? "Snow White is just known for its controversy with Rachel Zegler"? You forgot the controversy over replacing the "seven dwarfs" with "seven magical creatures", and then the second controversy when they replaced the "seven magical creatures" with seven "uncanny valley" CGI characters, often literally drawn over human actors for scenes that had already been shot. Or the controversy about the Prince being replaced by a Robin Hood style "prince of thieves".
Also how many Suns are there in the snow white solar system? Sunlight is directly streaming in windows facing every direction. This isn't possible with just one Sun.
In this movie the dwarves come home from working in the mine and snow white bosses them into cleaning the house, so the fairest in the land is just a lazy rich brat.

Zegler oozes evil in the trailer just about as much as she does off screen. She is the perfect evil witch/queen. Plus there is the little fact that her skin is not exactly white as snow which is kinda an important trait of "Snow White."
Gal Gadot was in the IDF. She’s Israeli! Rachael Z had to have known that when she tweeted Free Palestine. Gadot should wash her hands of it and move on. For the movies she does (action and spy thrillers), she’s good. They should tap her if the do another Mission Impossible film. She’d be great. It says something when the evil queen is more beautiful than the lead. Maybe she was miscast.
Snow White of 1937 was the film that MADE Disney. It was so astonishing to audiences, and so financially successful, that Walt was able to put all his plans into action. Those plans that influenced almost all entertainment that followed. For them to ruin it's remake is a crime against Disney, Animation, Film, and our American culture.
@ 0:28 ~ Actually, people seem to forget that Iger was already failing as CEO of Disney and resigned with the intent of selling Bob Chapek out as the scapegoat. The pushed Chapeck out, who was merely continuing the model he was told to follow. Then, Iger stepped back in, and maintained Disney's destruction. All of this has been done by design. They played musical CEO's in order to keep the stock investors from leaving. Now that they are leaving anyway, they are attempting to do damage control. But make no mistake about it. Technically, the evil queen was a beauty, due to her arts. Snow White, with no arts, grew to exceed her beauty and that annoyed her. And "fairest" had more connotations than just physical beauty. Snow was kind, gentle, and likeable while the Queen was none of those things. Dunno about how kind and gentle Ms. Gadot is, but Ms. Zegler has proven she is none of those things, which means they seem to be casting against type in this movie.

Disney is working off the same formula Hasbo and Mattel did in the 80s. Merchandising. Disney doesn't care if a movie bombs. a film is just 1 1/2 - 3 hour advertisement for Disney resorts and theme parks. What they DO care about is retaining the trademark and copywrite for THEIR versions of their princesses. Adding diversity allows them to have more actors playing princesses to appeal to more children. Why do you think whe have a white and a black Ariel or White and Latina Snow White? Disneyland alone make millions a day. They want the controversy because it means people are talking about the film.
Rachel is the type of girl you can go out and see similar looking girls all over...Gal is the type you only see once in a year or two....she is beautiful and rachel is bang on average.
It truly hurts me that Gal is being attacked now. I'm 61 - bear with me. Gal Gadot reminds me of a young Raquel Welch -but sleeker and slimmed down for modern times. Raquel first gathered attention in a fur bikini grunting like a Neanderthal. But Raquel was coached, taught, and given roles that played to her strengths. At first the "busty beauty", Raquel was guided to being a competent actress, a gracious spokes-person, a living legend and a borderline immortal with her passing in February 2023. I had a 3,000 word article (ultimately cut down to about 500 words lol course of they did that) published on her 72nd birthday. Raquel posted a comment on the article and sent me a personal message via email. Sure it was most likely her assistant, but I know that at least Raquel glanced over my article before giving approval to send a letter of appreciation. Forty years before that I was a kid just drooling over a ravishing beauty in a bikini. I see young Raquel in Ms. Gadot. But Hollywood just sees "Look at this beautiful woman. Buy tickets!". What a waste. Gal is getting gut-punched - undeservedly so - about as hard as Henry Cavill is now. An aside: Google, learn how to spell "Cavill" and "Gadot" before you try to correct my spelling and put squiggly red lines under half my words. The mirror needs to be cleaned! Whoever cast this movie should be fired. The original premise of the story is that Gal Gadot is jealous of Rachel Zegler because she's more "fair". Who TF thought this was a good idea? Gal's at least an 8 while Zegler's like a 4, 5 tops...
Wonder Woman 1984 was not bad because of Gal Gadot. I was just a poorly written/made movie. Not her fault. However, the team that produced the Wonder Women 1984 trailer deserves an Oscar.
First Wonder Woman film was written by Zac Snyder. Second Wonder Woman film was written by Patty Jenkins. Good Directors, aren't always good writers, they should have stuck with Zac as a Writer for the second film.

I still remember Zegler saying all that stupid stuff and Gadot standing next to her nodding, smiling and helping her out with a comment or two of her own. Gadot is getting a pass because she's hot, but I remember. Gadot is only turning on Disney because some of her scenes got cut.
