I love 9 hole courses. Sometimes when the course isnt crowded I'll play the "front 9" and the "back 9" of the 9-hole at the same time and get an 18 hole round finished within 2 hours. I think I have the opposite problem of you in that if a course is super easy I end up caring less about my round overall and just end up shooting well. I get the nerves on those tough courses and make them even tougher. I think the caravans make me feel how relaxed the atmosphere out there is and I kinda just latch onto that feeling
Yeah I know what you mean mate. Initially I was really excited to play the course, because its a casual 9 hole course that I can have relax at and have fun playing. However after having that disaster of the 1st hole I think my confidence changed a bit 😂 But that's a good idea playing both the front and back 9 at the same time, I'll definitely have to do that in future!
I have always found that if my long game is off and I'm struggling to hit greens, there comes a point where I lose all focus on trying to make putts. I guess it has more to do with my score blowing up. I tend to break 80 most rounds but if it gets bad early on in the round then I just want to get it done and over with. Not very inspiring stuff but......LOL.
Agree with the short game an putting being easy way to lower scores. I put a good bit of practise in putting and was lowering my score by 3 or 4 every round, and then my driving when out the window 😂
Yeah its so frustrating seeing myself waste so many shots. And yeah I definitely know what you mean, you work on and improve one area a lot and another goes to pot, too relatable 😂
Yeah I should be free sometime next week after the 2nd mate. I'll have a look if there are any comps on so as to avoid and will send you an email in the next day or so. 👍
