Sad for anyone that lives in an area that Floods, my Heart goes out to them. Winter is always a killer for our Trade, if you’re not freezing, you’re soaked to the skin. Always overworked too!! A 14hour day is not uncommon & then we panic when Spring comes around??!!!.......An old Boss of mine said to me about 48 years ago; ‘This Trade is, and always will be, a Famine or a Feast’. Which, in my experience, always, always been the case. Great content as always Tom, you captured the mood of the job & how depressing these types of jobs are. Thanks mate👍👍

Working in those conditions looked pretty dreadful - I think you deserved a drink, or several, after that, especially after moving the new and old boilers on your own! Must be terrible to be flooded like that - I bet they are glad to get the heating back on. Thanks for another interesting video.

That’s a lovely swap over Tom, Pity it was a flood that’s tough on people in them situations, I fitted a Worcester condens 400 last week missing the flow valve off the actual bracket, there a disaster some times 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️, 👍👍🤜

Hi Tom, a nice boiler swap there but not in the best conditions, it’s no fun when you are cold and wet. Worcester continues on their downwards spiral, sad to say another once good manufacturer going to the wall. Hope the rest of the job when as planned for you, so you could quickly get home. When you mentioned the boiler been completely flooded by sewage water and you working on it without gloves our Tom 😷😷😷. I know it's easier and quicker working in normal circumstances without protective gloves, but this instance the protective gloves are a must. Mrs Tom will not be pleased 😂.

Great video Tom, as a chippie I see you using loctite and jetblue, does it come apart ok years later? I remember years ago the old plumbers used putty and red lead on the bath tap threads, we had a contract to change around 50 bath taps on some bungalows around Burton upon Trent one time for a housing association and the brickies had to knock the bricks out at the back of the bathroom wall to get to the taps so that the plumber could get in with a massive pair of slisons to undo and replace them, the only way they would come apart, happy days👍

Looking like a good job for a good all round moaning Session😂 a nice hot bath and a hot toddy , had my Combi service on Saturday afternoon he had a moan the old baxi was better than baxi 624 as there’s too much plastic in the new ones at least he stopped the drip on it , better than the one who fitted it and gave it its first service never could get hold of him since 😂 hopefully he gone to be a window fitter 😂😂😂 That’s my moan 😂 great video Tom won’t be long before summer back
