youthapostles.org. Fr. Jack Peterson continues his series of reflections on The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola with the topic, Discernment of Spirits.
I am i a situation where I have to make my retreat without a Jesuit priest. Searched for the theme- Loved Sinner and got this. Thank you Fr. for sharing your insights which led my day
In contemporary times it is virtually difficult to find a Spiritual Mentor. First and foremost there is a shortage of Priests. Also our dear Priests all over the world are overtaxed & overworked with having to run to more than one church or chapel to serve the faithful & to see to their sacremental & spiritual needs. So now we have to learn to invoke the POWER of the HOLY SPIRIT to guide us & protect us in our spiritual journey in this mutilated & fallen world filled with sin. So help us Dear God. God bless you Rev Fr Jack.
Special thanks to Fr. Jack for sharing. In time of desolation should never make a change because we are not seeing clearly that time, but we need to make in moments of consolation such as prayers, going to Mass, getting to confession, and hanging out with good persons. God's grace will come us at those moments because God loves us more than we love ourselves.
And if he was according to you. He left us with the greatest tool to love Christ ever so deeply - His Spiritual Exercises. As Paul left us the epistles. Try them and see yourself transformed to love Jesus Christ more deeply than before.
