Congrats on your first week! You are doing great. The first two weeks are the worst. To be honest, the first twelve weeks were hard but you will get through it! My worst weeks were when I switched to weight bearing. The oxycodone gave me the worst nausea.
@@chronicallyhip3934 I was officially officially off by week 11- they said I was earlier than some. However, I did not need them to do house stuff at week 8. I just needed the crutches for week 11- 12 out in public as a support for errands. I'm sure you will get there. I'm doing the surgery again in a month on the other side. Don't feel frustrated if you have a few setbacks. Healing is not linear by any means and people recover at different rates. I always took one step forward and one step by every week it felt like. My pain levels were up and down constantly. I tried to refrain from reading the PAO Group on Facebook during this time. I am now 20 weeks post-op and I still have moments where my first side feels stiff.
Thanks for the vid, i just got the news i have to get this procedure done and im a super active 15 yo girl and im super nervous about it. Please give me a heads up on how the recovery is going to go. God bless
