🚨IMPORTANT They used the wrong version of the Marcix tune in this video. EDIT: I went and heard the better version, definitely sounds alot louder and cleaner. Also there was a whole B section and breakdown that was completely missed when I heard it. Unfortunate that happened, sorry Marcix.
Poor Marcix. His track is one of my favorites on the comp, but luckily I heard the correct version. Many others probably won't give it a second chance if they didn't. Hopefully, Disciple gives him another opportunity on the label.
You made a simply amazing track for this, like many I had not heard of you, but man next time your name is on this label or smth close to it I will be hella excited. Amazing work!
Watching primal suddenly start getting super excited and reinvigorated with Simon Said's track is so much fun. Seriously amazing execution for an artist that seemingly came outta nowhere, I love moments like that, when talent just shows, even when the name or reputation fails. Simon Said made a track that even VR or Eliminate would be praised for, but they didn't have a name even close to that and still aced it. One of, if not the best of the comp!
Fun fact: there is actually a clap in the HORZEMAN track, I can hear it on my phone speaker and have now been able to find it on headphones. It’s the same clap in the double drop but even less there
anvil is fuckkkkkkkkkeed nothing like some good simple frying pan noises paired with absolutely an obese drum mix symph is hard as fuck, simplicity is key
Reinforcements for once is probably better than the main roundtable comp. My favorite was obviously my bois Antima and Mvkuta with Marcix as a very close second. (This might be a disciple problem because that might be the old version of "Transfixed" where the sub literally engulfs the drop. The one on RU-vid is the updated version I think)
Now the real question is… Ubur Odium or Antima Mvkuta Odium? Also that AIMER track really reminds me of Cyclop’s collab with AG on Game Over in terms of sound design, it’s similar.
Glad to see a bit if d n b being splashed on disciple this year like oliverses single and the amerzone track been real into d n b kinda been more bored with dubstep lately so I'm glad
second half was way better than the first, but i really liked shattering! not bad at all, just not as good as vol. 2 or 1 for some reason. maybe it’ll grow on me, who knows? edit: it grew on me, this one’s as good as the others definitely
Was a little disappointed by the Crimson Scar track ngl. I still think it’s decent and I get they were trying for something experimental but I still like most of their other stuff better, like for example their most recent Crowsnest EP and the collab EP with Brain Palace are both pretty sick
My favorites were Black Magic, Symph, Odium, Earthstar, Insanity, Shattering, and Unstoppable. Other ones I liked are Dutty South Dubs, The Horseman, Anvil, and Bob Crosby. Everything else was only alright. I wanted to like Berserk and Wait For Me, just not really my thing. Edit: Actually, no. I didn’t like Lost and Alone, Frequency, Comedown, or Killer Space Whales.
I totally agree with Transfixed, I would probably put it in #1 on this comp if the mix wasn't the way it was Edit: Okay so the mixing actually sounds good on RU-vid, but not on Spotify which is really weird
the spotify version has been fixed now, apparently they uploaded the wrong version or something. updated version has fixed mixing and is like a minute 15 longer
Another sick comp from Disciple Round Table. - Stand outs for me: Magic Bite with Insanity, a simple yet effective track, standard Magic Bite goodness. Simon Said with Symph, what another great way of displaying simplicity can lead to a better execution, the pace of the track also brings another level heaviness to it. NIRE crushing it with Berserk, being on of my favorite when it comes to the heavy heavy on this comp, mixing is top notch of course. Resurge with Frequency, first drop really bringing the energy, again with that great pace/pattern. All of the other tracks are great as well. It's hard to compare this volume from the previous volumes, because this release has to age a bit longer for my biases to cease.
