just to let you knowwwww Korean make up styles are more likely to make the skin look brighter, and as a Korean I think 21w is closer to her shade too. She is just catching korean trends!🫶🏻
I have this cushion, it oxidizes like crazy. I swatched 21N on half of my face and thought it matches well. Then after a couple minutes it became too dark for my face and too orange. 😂 I felt like I became an American beauty influencer for a sec
80% of makeup is just skin care. Had to learn that the hard way when I used to spend so much money on expensive foundations to try and cover my problematic skin rather than spending the money on a good skin care routine.
@@user-tp7ne1du1n I have dark skin and an olive undertone (which makeup companies think don't exist) but I hope to try it. NO foundation I have found to be a good match yet so I just make it work lol
Honest question, what do you guys do with all the other shades? I've seen several influencers unbox that same thing with 20 different shades but like theres only one or maybe two that will match your skin tone, so what do you do with the rest? Give them out to other people?
I agree 21w seems too be a better match for her, but Koreans tend to wear a little lights foundation. The British chav girl look tends to go with much darker foundation then needed. Difference cultures and beauty standards.. You can’t really blame her, it’s just a different. I am pale and bought this Lumene cc cream in Fair the site said it was the lightest shade and it’s too dark for me. I have the Lumene Blur 16h foundation in the shade 01 but got the 00 to find that the 00 blends well with the cc cream blen by jill dsFair?
@@cvyyjgthe sad thing is even as a pale person, none of the shades fit me they still make me orange. I have to add WHITE FACEPAINT to my foundation to lighten it 😭
@@cvyyjgtrue, i did see they have a dark shade tho which is really impressive for a kbrand even if it's not the darkest they're coming out w more colors too
It’s a regional aesthetic preference. Doesn’t mean you have to do it 😅 Brightening is great if you’re a performer, so while I could brighten my face a shade or two for performing, depending on the size of the venue I’m working in, lighting for the show, etc I wouldn’t do it in my everyday life. Some people do tho, depending on the part of the world you live in. Also this is solely the base; no contour or highlight, blush etc., which can easily warm up the foundation itself with a completed look.
It oxidizes a lot! When I got this I got one shade lighter on purpose because by the 1 hour mark my foundation matched my skin perfectly. While application though? It was like putting on a white facial mask tbh 😅 Tirtir sells several sample packs which I highly recommend, I would have ended with a darker shade if I didnt.
It absolutely does. I tried everything and the palest shade still turned orange on me within 30 mins. Which sucks because the finish was really nice. @@plant_12
no, pay close attention, it literally disappeared in her skin, 21W hence W is too warm, she’s 21N (neutral). if you look at her neck in the first zoomed out clip, it matches her neck.
The coverage looks nice, but too light for you. why do koreans always go for shades lighter than their skin tone? Are they aware it doesn't match their necks? Just an observation i had when i visited seoul
@@whybekwhyWe definitely don’t try to go half a shade darker and warmer. Most of us try to get our actual depth and undertone. Mistakes are made but the vast majority are trying to match their actual color not too light or too dark.
@@traetrae11 Most people in the west aren’t trying to go darker or more yellow, but our perception is influenced by our value set. Because “tanned” skin is seen as beautiful in the west, people tend to err on the side of darker rather than lighter-usually not intentionally. The opposite seems to be true for most Asian influencers I’ve watched.
21N looked fine on the initial small swatch you did with all the shades, but 21W suits you more as you have a warm undertone. Although 21N matches purely in terms of shade, the undertone looks too pink for you- your face doesn't mach your neck ;; And I'm saying this as someone who has a very warm yellow undertone who has bought one too many neutral foundations. I've seen myself look like this too many times 😅
i think cos cool toned makeup is trending now, and with the fact that in korea cool tones are kinda equated to lightness/paleness, most ppl try and convince themselves that they’re cool toned when they’re very obviously warm or neutral lmfao
@@mei8511 I watched a Korean-American kbeauty short recently and she said it was normal to see different tones between face and neck on Korean natives So normal they don't really noticed it now
Oh to be foundation tested by so many opinions!!! ❤️❤️ I’ve got light olive tones that make matches very tricky and add on buying foundation online… 🤦🏼♀️
YesStyle has a sample kit for purchase less than $10 with shipping within the states. Might seem like a lot but cheaper than buying the fill compact $23 in the wrong color or a mini compact for $15 in the wrong color.
what filter? you can clearly see her pores at 0:24. I don't even know this influencer but I definitely spell some jealousy coming from you. Might want to work on yourself a bit
@mitchLC148 not all filters cover everything up and there are some filters build into some lenses or, depending on where you are, some apps like tiktok or insta have build in filters. And considering this sounds like a undisclosed ad, I wouldn't be surprised if they were using a filter.
I think 21w suited you more, but I guess its just asian makeup culture to make their faces a bit more lighter than their neck? Or at least that's what I've been seeing most of the time especially on kpop idols. Sorry if I'm wrong lol
its a high coverage cushion foundation so its made for thin layers while still being high coverage. the red cushion is tirtirs highest coverage cushion and is viral BECAUSE of it so maybe u can try it out. idk how much coverage u want which is why i wont say u will like it but the coverage doesnt have to do with the thickness of a layer but the formula. putting on a really thick layer just makes ur makeup look cakey.
Then you most likely need a regular foundation. Most cushion foundations are just a part of marketing as they sell less product with sheer coverage for a higher price. Not talking about how unhygienic cushion foundations are.
@@gabrielle695 why is it unhygienic? if you use the product for yourself it's the same as putting a blush stick on your face, or when you use a beauty blender or a brush to apply foundation, if you wash it it's not unsanitary
@@francescavolpe8726 the problem is in the sponge which contains all the foundation in cushion foundation, you can't wash this one. Because foundation is liquid, it creates a moist environment which is perfect for microbes to reproduce. Every time you open that foundation, it's a great chance for them to settle down there.
Honestly, I think 21W was a PERFECT shade match for your naturally warm skin tone. I think 21N was a touch too light and pink for you. But, I guess, once you put the rest of your makeup on, it probably matches better. Still a gorgeous base, tho. Thanks for the tips!! 💜
21w looked like a perfect match especially for your undertone. Coild be the camera but I had to say something or my curiosity would stress me out 😂 xx love the video
Every one in the comments forgetting that there is a slight oxidation to the foundation and complaining about her shade match. Also forgetting Korean makeup trends.
Ppl thought it’s supposed to be applied same as any other product with cushion, nobody would think u need a tutorial how to use smth so simple? It’s not big deal, they should’ve did a lil research though,or even without it i think it’s obvious you’re not supposed to put all that product on your face for non-cakey look
It's not because you can easily pick up the product back again. The pad is a silicone pad it doesn't soak in product and neither does the back. It's slick.
As an Asian girl, I would say there's no way that cushion compacts can create a natural, light wearing finish. it always looks like the person is wearing a perfect skin mask to me.
your shade is 24N (for people saying 21W, it won't suit her, it'll still be lighter but a different tone altogether) a particular shade range (say, 21 line for example, is the same shade of fair/dark, there will only be a difference of the undertone like yellow/neutral/cool)
Giiiiirl~ lol sorry but if you’re reviewing something, then at least match the color with your skin tone. That one is tooooooo light on you. Having darker skin is totally okay. But trying to look lighter when your skin tone is darker is stupid i think. 🤷🏻♀️
TirTir is seriously the peak of Korean beauty right now. For one the product is amazing, the price point isn’t bad at all, and they’re likely the most inclusive Korean brand on the market. You LOVE to see it.
Wow that foundation completely washed you out. your neck is clearly darker and I can see along your hairline where you didn’t apply the foundation that your skin is darker there. A bit of wishful thinking on your part lol?
I seriously need the whole set like this to find my shade…. I never have the right one 😢. I must have 10 - 15 different foundations in the last 3 years different brands and colours. Haven’t finished a single one.
21W is your shade girl. It's obvious. You could've instead said, "21W is my closest match but I prefer how 21N looks on my skin because *inserts justification*". Even the non-pros are able to see that much. And maybe stop over-doing that duck face.
Nah this cushion is not for everyone. I have dry skin and cool undertone. And I always do skin prep (no 1 serum and jsm mool cream) but it's still meh. Also even I use the shade 21c which is cool tone , it oxidizes too much. It turns to super yellow. For me JSM is doing better.
Some of ya'll be so dramatic. There's no such rule in make up to choose the base color as your exact skin tone. She can choose any color she wants and she looks perfectly fine applying 21c (nothing weird like some of the cmts mentioned). + this video is focused on 'applying method' not 'tone choosing'.
@@memorysdancer that's it, she said 'for you' not her, she can choose whatever shade she thinks that suits her. Try to check haley's video with tir tir, that's what a colour rage finding.
Camera view and irl view is NOT the same, even with no filter. Especially since she’s the one GIVING people advice using her own skin I’m not saying y’all aren’t experts(I’m sure as heck not an expert), I’m just saying that the shades aren’t accurate as they look ON camera. It also depends on what type of look you’re going for and since she’s just showing us an example.
It's hilarious how the Western ladies like to wear Korean makeup and apply it using Western makeup application style...K-MAKEUP ISN'T CAKED ON! 😂 It's MUCH more NATURAL! 🙄
Girls who wear foundation that is clearly still too light for them are made fun of. She looks ridiculous trying to tell people that foundation is the perfect match lol!
Arent shades supposed to match the tone of your neck? Why is everyone obsessed with staying two toned, when we already naturally are two toned? 🤔🤔🤷🏿♀️🤷🏿♀️💯💯
Dude everyone I’ve seen wants 7 pounds of make up foundation like, honey no cushion foundations are to be used lightly 😭 man before following trends from countries learn to use it at least properly lmfao
If a product oxidizes, it's going to no matter how you use it. I guess unless you use a tiny amount, but then what's the point. Not to mention that is not your color 😂😂
Firstly none of the four shades she swatched matches her skin tone. She looked like casper the ghost. Secondly i dont see any reason why you need to pat it on the cushion cover. What a waste of product.
@@Brutallyhonest0803 they came out with so many more shades tho, the amazing product you’re seeing might be the first tirtir foundation shade release, jooshica did show more shade (numbers) in the vid
Why does this company send so many shades to one person, what are you gonna do with the rest? Since u tried it u can’t give it to other ppl for hygiene reasons, so do u just throw that away?
I really don’t get the hype about this cushion. The 2aN cushion foundation is so much better but I guess they don’t sponsor or send out or so no one knows about it
LMAO THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YT AND INSTA COMMENTS IS CRAZY. THE WAY THAT INSTA COMMENTS SAYING THE FOUNDATION DOESN'T MATCH UR FACE💀 WHEN IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK THAT LIGHT. IT DOESN'T EVEN LOOK UNFLATTERING FOR ME💀 THEY'RE JUST JEALOUS MFS
Is it better to use the exact perfect shade of our skin or one shade lighter or one shade darker? which one is better ? How to understand wheather it oxidise or not?
