A number of people dislikes this 'new' features, no wonder why their price are still affordable (really?) even in my country Malaysia. But it still great, with a whopping 1200 lumens and some other utility features of this light.

Dodo 225 yes, I have the Nitecore 1” mount and fits perfectly on my magpul picatinny rail

I'd miss the tailstanding endcap. I have an older P12, it's too long for me to carry everyday, so it rarely gets used. It's a great flashlight though. I like nitecore for having memory for their strobe function. Please keep doing this! Thanks.

Yea I don't like the P12 either for this reason as its too long. I prefer the P10GT as its a bit shorter but just as bright and similar throw distance, also its easy to carry everyday.

I was hoping strobe could be accessed from the the tail button and from off. Oh well. Looks good though

check out Nitecore p22r and p10 v2. They have strobe access from the tail button.

Nice Flashlight , I want one . One thing I want to see on a flashlight of this size would be a more aggressive strike bezel on the front for self defense , something along the lines of the Olight M1 Striker bezel .

No you need standard NL2150/NL2150R for the new P12

I know now that the new P12 does not need NL2150hpi (more expensive batt). But if I already got NL2150hpi, it will not work with the new p12, will it?

Yes Mr. Robert W is technically correct, it is just one of those unfortunate casualties of misappropriated marketing jargon. It is a 21700 battery that has a thin converter on top that changes it from the flat face to the button top face. However, manufacturers just rope it in all together in the same vein that anything with an electric guitar is "rock" music to people over 80.

NITECORE Store Thanks for the clarity, they should be called 21700PC for protected cell to avoid confusion as 18650 or 21700 refers to the actual physical size of the cell, it’s not a big deal as long as you know what size to get... just received my E4K, amazing little light and fortunately I aquired the correct size cells for it...
