Thumbnail aside: With that kind of music I imagined Fluttershy rather being a little figurine which is slowly spinning round and round on top of a small music box while Discord is listening to these sweet tunes unable to hear her lament. I really like that song but "...On My Bow" still remains my favourite one. :D

Sad part is I can see discord doing this so he doesn't lose his one and only love

Aight,here's the best backstory I could come up with: So Fluttershy passes and Discord grief stricken is unable to move on and so in his desperation to not let Fluttershy go he resurrects her corpse and traps her soul inside,little does he know refusing to let her move on is only causing her to suffer.

I've read plenty a fanfic about flutters mortality compared to discords immortal soul. I've seen him lose his immortality to die with her, I've seen him offer her immortality, and I've seen others cover his grief for the loss. But this?! This is a new level of a twisted idea. Though it reminds me of a story I once wrote about a pooltoy. It delt with how he watches a family grow up, gets boxed away, and feels happy again to see them change. Needless to say, the story was bittersweet. I don't think I even have the notebook I wrote it in anymore. Too many bad memories.

So in other words, after Fluttershy passes away Discord casts a spell on her that locks her spirit in a wooden puppet body so that she'll never leave... Oh boy...

If Fluttershy would pass away Discord would probably go completly mad. She is his only connection to sanity at this point. When i think back to the season six finale, he has gone enrage for a moment just because he heared she got kidnapped. When she would die, he would probably annihilat whoever is responsible, even if it´s time itself.

This is scarier than any FNAF song I've ever heard.

This is definitely one of, if not the most, depressing sad songs in the fandom and I mean that in the best way. The first time I listened to it I didn't really hear the song but the second time I understood and it hit me like a ton of bricks. Magpiepony once again you have hit me right in the feels, well done my dear.

So this is one way it can end for Discord and Fluttershy if they ever get together... many people have been pointing out that Discord will outlive Fluttershy and therefore if they fall in love, he will be heartbroken, but heres the thing. No one lives forever and if we dont live in the moment and appreciate what we have its all gonna slip away. That isnt to say that Discord wont outlive her, he will, but he will just have to let go and move on. I actually thought about writing a fanfic about what would come next. I ship Fluttercord and I do beleive that it doesnt have to be a sad ending for them, Discord will treasure her in his heart forever, but he will move on. It would really move his character further, since he acts a bit childish and likes messing around quite often and its in his nature. He would have so much growth this way if he was able to really let her go. Oh but this is a beautiful song and you sound exactly like Fluttershy, you have a very beautiful voice! ❤

Wow this is good. while I'm sure this song isn't a reference to it I still remember an old grimdark reading of discord being unable to accept fluttershys death and bringing them back in the same way. The lyrics are really good and I love the choice of song as well. I hope you have a good hallows eve

Okay, I really love the fluff-Fluttercord, BUT THIS VERSION IS just AWESOME. More DARKNESS! No cute stuff. Just DARKNESS. Cruel! Hurts! Unfair! No "love and such things"! This is definitely what was needed to have something fresh. A bad thing with a very bad ending. That's fucking awesome.

The fanfic "the corpse bride" along with this song really makes me wonder. Discord is immortal, fluttershy is not. What happenes to him after _her death?_

This song is so chilling because it strikes a message on how real it can get with love over someone. It’s scary that a person can be in love with something so much that they become so obsessed with their crush or ex-partner they eventually become so detach from reality and they start to go insane and outta desperation they search for last efforts and ways to spend time with them.

reminds me of a story where fluttershy dies in a freak accident and discord bound her spirt to her decaying body. i think scribbler did the reading for it. not 100% sure. anyways. good start, a nice buildup. hope it building up to something crazy as the day go on.

Technically, though, even while alive, everything in Equestria would technically be Discord's powerless puppet, if he really wanted them to be.

idk if i’m crazy but i had a vision of future me experiencing something like this where someone dosent want to lose me so they trap me

I think the reason that he put her soul inside of a puppet was so she would never leave him. He knew she was going to die way before him and he didn’t want to have to live without her, so before that could happen, he cursed her soul into a puppet he created so she could live with him forever. Her soul just wants to pass on and Rest In Peace but instead it it forced to remain inside of the puppet he created and she has no free will with him as well as no way to get help. She’s stuck forever and is pleading with him to be let out and allowed to pass on but he doesn’t want to loose her, so she probably won’t be allowed to pass on. Now, like she says, she doesn’t feel any love for him anymore, rather she just feels rage towards him. The kindness that she used to have and display is all gone and now replaced with a burning rage for discord for what he has done to her. The only reason she sounds so kind is because she is also a puppet so he still have control over her, which is also why she talks to him politely and thanks him for coming. (Also, I think he is like having a tea party with her like they always used to have when they became friends)

So like what I gathered from the lyrics is that discord most likely got paranoid and feared that since his immortal fluttershy will die so he turned her into a puppet so she could never age and they could be together forever but fluttershy is miserable and in pain and wants to be let go but discord won’t let her go is that correct?
